Over the years Parkson has evolved to keep abreast with changing customer lifestyle and shopping experience and Parkson East Coast Mall is a new generation Parkson concept store. Its environment has been enhanced to create a modern and comfortable shopping experience. This trendy, upscale store is definitely a premier family lifestyle departmental store. I’ve always wanted to add a claypot set to my kitchen and to my delight, I found a Tanyu Claypot Chef which is not available in the other two Parkson stores in Kuantan. My heart leapt with joy when I spotted Baskin Robbins. Finally, a decent ice cream parlour in Kuantan for cool treats. With its assortment of flavours, there’s always something to suit everyone. I wasted no time in ordering my all-time favourite – classic vanilla. Japanese cuisine, it is said, is an acquired taste. Over the years, I’ve done just that and whenever I make my monthly “pilgrimage” to Kuala Lumpur, I make sure I get some sushi. So you can imagine my joy to find Sushi King here. Now, I wouldn’t have to wait to satisfy my cravings. Another favourite snack I bring back on my monthly KL trips is Dunkin Donuts. No, it’s not available at the East Coast Mall, but there’s something just as good — Big Apple Donuts & Coffee. I love the ones with cream fillings, especially durian. Compared with Dunkin Donuts, Big Apple donuts are smaller and softer.
Big In Kuantan
East Coast Mall has 200 commercial lots spread over five storeys. Each floor has a theme. The Ground Floor is Lifestyle & Fashion, the First Floor is Beauty & Family, the Second Floor is Food & Service and the Third Floor is Entertainment & Food Court. The car park is on the fourth floor. With so many brand names like MNG, Quicksilver, Clarks, AtHome, Sony and Lovely Lace, it’s no wonder the locals are excited. Besides the shopping, it would be nice to have a cineplex here that offers Premier or Gold Class seating. And perhaps some local flavour with coffee-shops such as Hai Peng, Kemaman or Old Town Kopitiam.
How To Get There
From Kuala Lumpur, take the East Coast highway to Kuantan. Exit at Kuantan toll plaza and follow the direction to Kuantan. Get to Jalan Datuk Lim Hoe Lek. East Coast Mall is bounded by Jalan Datuk Lim Hoe Lek, Jalan Tun Ismail and Jalan Bukit Sekilau. It is located opposite Kuantan’s Stadium Darul Makmur. |
