Valencia's David Silva Reveals English Interest
Loyalty to Valencia meant that any suitors were unlikely to land David Silva over the summer.
David Silva has revealed that he knew about a bid to sign him in the summer from an English Premier League side and that he was not interested because staying loyal was more important than money.
The 23-year-old has been linked with several clubs since the end of last season and Manchester United are said to still be on his trail ahead of the January transfer window.
Valencia were delighted that Silva stayed and he has now explained that even if the club had allowed him to speak to another team he would not have wanted to go.
"It is true that there was a bid from a big English club," he was quoted saying by News of the World.
"If it was only a question of money then I would have accepted the move.
"Things can change in the future but right now, I am happy in Valencia and I did not have sufficient motive to leave."
