Ueto Aya and Matsumoto Jun Sporting the Prettiest Lips!
In Japan on May 23rd it is the "Day of the kiss" and for that occasion, ORICON STYLE released its result on the ranking of the most beautiful lips chosen by men. Ueto Aya, who had been in the second spot for the past two times has made it to the top for the first time, now! This year, the girls also got the chance to vote for their favorite male lips. No other than Matsumoto Jun from Arashi made it to the top of the ranking!
For the boys the top three females with the prettiest lips are Ueto Aya, Kitagawa Keiko on spot no. 2 and Inoue Waka in the third position, with the reason, that slightly plumper lips are popular these days.
On the other hand, for the girls apart from their no. one Matsumoto Jun, Fukuyama Masaharu has made it to the second spot as especially well shaped, thinner lips are popular. Arashi's Sakurai Sho has been voted onto the third spot and is especially popular among the slightly more mature women.
Either way, regardless of the gender, the comments received show that there are a lot of people fascinated by the sexiness of lips without noticing and the results show that lips do define the beauty of a person.

Aya Ueto, Masaaki Uchino reunite for romance drama
Aya Ueto (24) will star in a short drama series this fall, titled "Juunen Saki mo Kimi ni Koishite." This will be her first time leading a series on NHK.
The show reunites her with actor Masaaki Uchino (41), whom she worked with in the 2004 tennis manga adaptation "Ace wo Nerae!" Back then, the two played the roles of a student and a tennis coach, but here they will be playing love interests.
The story focuses on 26-year-old Rika (Ueto), a single editor who is unskilled in love. The story starts when a man (Uchino) appears before her, telling her that he is her husband from 10 years in the future. He informs her that she will meet the young version of himself in a few days, but begs her not to marry him.
Both Ueto and Uchino will have double roles, playing their characters in the present and 10 years in the future.
The drama is an original story written by popular screenwriter Mika Omori. NHK will broadcast the series for six episodes on Tuesday nights at 10:00pm, starting on August 31.

Aya Ueto to star in drama based on blind musician (co-starring Keisuke Koide)
Actress Aya Ueto (24) will star in a Fuji TV drama special titled "Ai wa Mieru ~ Zenmou Fuufu ni Yadotta Chiisana Inochi," in which she will play a blind character for the first time. The story is based on singer-songwriter Satoko Tatemichi (28), who has been blind since birth.
The drama is adapted from the book "Ai wa Mieru ~ Zenmou Fuufu no Takaramono," which covers Tatemichi's life as she developed her musical gift despite her blindness. She made her major label debut last year with the song "Takaramono." While working on her music, Tatemichi also married a blind man in 2004, and she gave birth to a son in 2006.
In the drama, Ueto's character is named Juri Tatematsu. Like Tatemichi, the character gets married and gives birth to a child, despite opposition from people around her. While raising the child, she continues pushing towards her dream of becoming a professional musician. Her blind husband, a guitarist and masseur, is being played by Keisuke Koide (26).
Ueto and Koide worked with staff from the Tokyo Metropolitan Welfare Association for the Blind, spending a month training for their parts. The two also visited Tatemichi and her husband to learn about their lives.
Fuji TV plans to broadcast the "Ai wa Mieru" drama this September.

“Nagareboshi” preview screening and press conference
Today was a preview screening and press conference for Fuji TV's upcoming Monday drama "Nagareboshi" starring Ueto Aya (25) and Takenouchi Yutaka (39).
Ueto is rumored to be in a relationship with EXILE's leader HIRO (41) and all the reporters wanted to get a comment from her, but during the press conference she didn't answer any questions related to the rumor and just kept on smiling. At another PR-Event for "Uniqlo" today, her senior Yonekura Ryoko (35) was also asked about their relationship, but she didn't really seem to know about it either.
As for the drama "Nagareboshi", it's a classic love story about a desperate man and a desperate woman that happen to meet each other at the right moment and gradually start to fall in love with each other. It's been 9 years since Takenouchi last starred in a Monday drama. Inagaki Goro (36), Matsuda Shota (25) and Kitano Kie (19) are part of the regular cast as well.
Takenouchi commented, "The taste is different from the usual Monday dramas these days. I want to make it into something impressive."

Aya Ueto’s first public comment about relationship with EXILE’s HIRO
While relationship news are always a hot topic, Aya Ueto’s rumored relationship with EXILE’s leader HIRO became the hottest rumor to spread, particularly because they have an age gap of 16 years – HIRO is 41 and Ueto is 25.
Even when Ueto attended the press conference for her newest drama, “Nagareboshi“,reporters couldn’t resist the temptation to ask about the rumored 9month love story between the two talents. When asked about it, she madeher first public comment since the news broke out: “I’m sorry to cause such a disturbance.”
Modest words for a woman in the center of such heated attention!

Ueto Aya visits Miyagi prefecture, helps make food for the victims
Today, actress Ueto Aya visited the city of Ishinomaki in the Miyagi prefecture and participated in making food for the earthquake victims.
At first the actress only went to the city to provide the people with footwear, underwear and other relief supplies, but then she met Watari Tetsuya, actor and president of Ishihara Promotion, and Tachi Hiroshi, also a board member of the said agency, who were making some fried soba and rice for the victims for the second day in a row, she decided to help them out a bit. After the Kobe earthquake, this agency, which only focuses on actors and singers, made food for the victims as well. Watari also played Ueto’s father in the drama “Kekkon“.
While Ueto was making the food, a three-year-old girl at the end of the queue started to call out her name and was eagerly anticipating getting closer to her. When it was finally time, she did not only find out the girl’s name – Shuri-chan, but also that she lost her three years older sister during the earthquake.
