Welcome backkkkk! I pun duk tunggu juga berita dari u. Duh? Air botol kecil sampai US$1!: Local people can afford it ke? Berbelanja seharian dalam dollars? I'm glad u had a great time. Eh, rege tiket masuk Angkor untuk budak sama ke ngan orang tua? Rege2 ni semua hanya untuk tourist kut Nur? Takkan local people mampu eh,kan ke Cambodia tu miskin bangat :stp: T-shirt tu murah ler US$2. Sini pun leh dapat 5 for US$10. Tapi kuality kain T-shirt tu cemana? Tebal ke nipis? |

One more question. Ada traditional shows kat dalam Angkor tak? I teringin nak tengok traditional dance performed kat dalam komplex tu with the temple as backdrop. Fullamak....mesti mengancam.
Pstt! I nak order High Definition Video cam....bayangkan kalau aku leh video persembahan ni kat dalam angkor tu ngan spesial video ni...:bgrin: |

hai nura been waiting for u to write on ur exp...
basically i went to the places u mentioned, except the lake..we didnt have enuff time...
one more thing, we rented bicycles from the guest house we stayed in and had a blast zip zapping with the locals on the streets of siem reap..:bgrin: i had such a great time!!!
tapi kaki ni mcm nak tercabut lah sbb lps spent one day cycling the next day had to do panjat2 :kant:
my fav place is the bayon..simply amazing....
our itinerary on the 2nd day :
1) angkor wat - didnt manage to catch the sunrise sampai dah pukul 7.30 am.
2) angkor thom - bayon, terrace of elephants, baphuon
3) ta keo
4) ta prohm
5) preah khan
6) phnom bakheng (bakheng hill) - we went up at abt 3 pm and it was hot like neraka :bgrin: but the view was worth the climb kan?
yes, like nura mentioned it was HOT HOT HOT...make sure u slather urself with sunblock or u'd turn up like a zebra :bgrin: and if u r easily dehydrated like me, make sure u take lotsa fluid...i lugged 2 bottles of mineral water & ribena and not a single drop remained after 10 hours excursion thru the ancient cities...and dont forget chocs for instant burst of energy...
the silver goods were rather cheap and worth buying if u need to make for hantaran and stuff hehehe...
i was harrassed by the khmer children "coca...coca...coca" grabbing my hands for my can of coke...and i was darned scared of being mauled by hordes of them....kekeke..i exaggerate sket lah...
simply loved the tuk tuk ride :bgrin: and the cycling part....
i dont mind going there again....the historical sites are simply amazing....
we didnt eat outside at all, just finished the bread and tuna and maggi we brought along...but we met a family of melayu champa...he brought us around...thanks to mus and family...
will add more if i remember anything else.....

belanga, may i answer based on my experience?
kalau evian tu boleh sampai 3.20 per bottle (1.5 l) tapi kalau yg cap biasa2 tu ranges from $0.70 to $1.20..gatorade $1.60..canned drinks $0.40-0.70 depends on mana u beli kot...
normally tourists pay in dollars and may get change in either local riel or dollars (depending on how much the balance is and if the vendor have dollar to return)..
the t-shirt $2 flat rate, mana2 pun sama..and kainnya tak lah tebal mcm fruit of loom tu...suffice lah dgn harganya...
most of the tourist attractions kalau ade entrance fee, locals masuk free je...and we saw a lot of locals visiting the temples, not for worship anymore, tapi sightseeing like us..
hope it was helpful :bgrin: |

Yerlah..harga untuk local people might be different lah.
Tapi so far I pergi theri 7 Eleven ,shop..semua di label dgn 1USD..paling murah I canned juice ..coke cola around 0.80USD ..
Masa mula mula sampai..
."Ehhh..murahnya..french fries harga 1.5USD jer...satu meal..macam fries...seafood nasik goreng...untuk 2 orang 4.00 dollar jer..then eh murahnya fruit juice..yg pekat2 kaw kaw punyer juice pon 1.5 Dollar jer..jer."
....bila dah pepetang sikit...we start to talk....Eh!!...murah ke??..kita makan fries bodo and nasik goreng kampung RM16..campur drinks sorang dalam RM20 lah...murah ke haper.kalo kat Tokyo ke..Itali ke..lan le..ni kat Cambodia.....kekkehehehkkekek!!Lembab aku nih kan! Then lepas-lepas tuh baru lah aku reti mengira...ngeh ngeh ngeh!....
Saya borak-borak ngan local people..berapa gaji cekgu sekolah rendah..berapa sewa rumah...berapa rega satu meal untuk depa...hhmmm....tak tahulah dia klentong ke apa..dia kata..gaji cekgu sekolah rendah USD40 sebulan.Doctor USD100 sebulan.Sewa rumah ,kalau tak kisah bilik cokia..USD20 sebulan..satu meal around USD 1.50 .. tapi tak berap alogic calculation tuh aku rasa..takkan beli 40 botol air mineral, sama dgn gaji cekgu kan?
Aku rasa...kena pandai speak Cambodian language nih baru aku berpeluang merasa membeli barang dgn harga depa..
Ada sekali singgah beli jagung bakar.. (terperanjat abg tut tut tuh aku jerit "stop!stop!... why??..he asked me.. " i want to buy that corn.."aku tunjukk kat gerai2 deret2 masa balik dari Bayon)..dia gelak jer..sib baik tak tergolek ek tut tut tuh...
Rega jagung tuh aku dapat 1000 riel sebatang..aku beli 3 batang (untuk aku..kwn aku dan pemandu tut tut ..kena 3000 riel.
(4000 riel = 1 USD)
kalau beli baju..t-shirt..kalau beli more then 1...tawar lah setengah matii..sure dpt..kalau beli t-shirt 2..mintak rega 3 dollar kadang2 depa bagi...
Kami stay di Monoreach Angkor Hotel.Masa buffet breakfast, pulun makan..becoz last night nya makan megi jer..dah penat sgt malas nak keluar..
So, yg kami sempat buat (pergi cuma kejap jer)
-masuk ke cultural village - entrance fee 12USD (sempat tengok show..cultural dance..theri traditioanl dance..song..then tengok show marriege ceremony ..menarik jer!Dan visit rumah2 berbagai bentuk .
- masuk ke Angkor watt...Bayon - cost 20 USD(for 1 day pass) ..naik sampai atas-atas..naik turun panjat2..dgn skirt ku :gila:
-Pergi Tonle Sap Lake - cost 10USD - tenagok floating village..singgah sekali crocodile farm, fish farm..kat tgh2 tasik tuh..
-Panjat gunung Phom Kroum (terletak antara Siem Reap Town and Tonle Sap Lake) tengok SUNSET ..aku panjat gunung tuh ngan
skirt kembang ku..:cak::gila::gila: ..
bila dah nak sampai, aku rasa nak mampos dah..aku nampak satu rumah orang, depan dia ada tong oren (yg selalu depa isi air tin..mineral untuk jual)..aku lambai2..buat bahasa isyarat, ada jual air tak?..makcik tuh pon tak reti english(ceruk gunung punay orang)..aku bagi dia sedollar..dia bagi aku dua botol air mineral..syukur sgtt..wakakkaka!!!... pemandu tuktuk aku ketawa kan aku..kuikuii..
bebudak mintak sedekah pon cam ramai jer ek..on te way turun naik gunung..ramai tadah tangann..kesian sgtt....
-Then Malam, kami pergi makan buffet .. 12USd jer...with stage show...femes amos jugaklah restaurant tuh..KULEN restoran..
Aku makan seafood dan benda2 yg agak2 boleh makan jerlahh...
Masa kat Tonle Sap lake...aku sempat tgk..ada satu budak tuh naik BESEN youu!!.besin tuhh.....and pakai sekeping kayu buat mendayunggg..buat macam sampan..fuhhhh!!!!..aku rasa budak tuh cam 3,4 tahun je nampak gaya nyaaa!!berani siotss!!...
Sebab rumah atas air nih, nak ke satu satu tempat, depa kena naik sampan ..nak ke rumah jiran..pi kedai etc....
On the way pergi..very bumpy road dan rumah2 poor people didirikan sepanjang panjang tuh...u can see in and out rumah2 depa tuh sbb kecik dan betul2 tepi jalan..my fren siap meng imagine..camne depa tuh XXXX ek..sbb macam boleh nampak luar dalam je org2 yg lalu dan jiran2 pon sebelah menyebelahh...papan jarang2 plak tuh....
and masa lalu kebetulan pulak ada org buat kerja kawen..so boleh lah dengar lagu ala-ala "selamat pengantin baru"..masa naik atas gunung pon boleh dgr!!......fantastic view dari atas gunung.
Oh yer...
JALAN RAYA depa nih takde garis ek kat tengah2..main agak2 jer kot tengah nya kat mana..:gila:
lepas tuh asyik lah honk honk jer sana sini...bila nak corner..cam nak langgar je pasal..mana tengah pon tak tauu...:gila:
btw..depa drive di belah kanan..macam Korea...US..
Plat pada kenderaan pulak, banyak yg belah depan jer ada..belakang takde..kata local people.di siem reap..plat number tak wajib...polis tak kisah..kalau di Phnomp Phen barulah wajibb....
Balik singgah Phnomp Phen kejap jer..transit...

i nyibuk sket ye nura....
i dok kat guest house earthwalker's - run by a group of european, satu bilik $12/nite (twin sharing) with private bathroom (ade hotwater). bilik tu basic but very clean and the place is between the airport and the town center.
kami sewa tuk tuk $15/day and paid our local guide (melayu champa boleh ckp melayu) $10.
kalau buat mcm kami tak makan kat luar, i rasa bwk $100 tu cukuplah utk berbelanja beli souvenir.
with my $100 i beli yg berikut :
1) airport tax = $25
2) sewa tuk tuk + guide = $25
3) bilik (2 mlm) = $12 seorang
4) sewa basikal = $2
5) t-shirt 3 lai = $6
6) tonnes of keychains & fridge magnets = $9
7) mineral water = $4 (i ade bwk 2 botol dr mesia)
8) tuk tuk utk ke airport = $2 seorang
9) alas meja + shawl = $15
10) tiket masuk angkor wat and the area = $20
actually total $120 i terover bajet $20 (tak ingat dunia masa beli keychain tu semua )
i buat travel mmg bajet gila so i suppose with $100 u cud survive in siem reap (but only with maggi, tuna, serunding & roti lah :kant
oh ye...our air tiket RM160 return (air asia).

Thanks Frisky. O...local free, cam kat Thailand la.... Eh, aku rupa Cambodia leh masuk free kut? lol
Last summer pergi ke Royal Palace di Bangkok. Orang ramai ler nak masuk ke palace tuh. Tetiba, orang jaga tiket, panggil aku arahkan aku masuk sekali dengan local people. Aku pun tolak anak2 aku pi kat ayah derang untuk masuk lane foreigner. Dia arah anak2 aku ikut aku. Free la kami. Ayah bebudak je bayar.Lol:lol
Kalau kat Angkor derang halau aku gi belah lane local bagus gak.:bgrin: Ada can ke? |

my fren booked thru www.hostelworld.com. the place is cozy lah...not too big and not too small. i think on alternate nites ade cultural show & bbq dinner ($5 per person)...on arrival airport pick-up is FOC lah, tapi utk transport ke airport, kena sewa tuk tuk atau taxi, kami amik 2 tutuk ($4 each). pada i ok tpt tinggalkami tu sbb ade attached bathroom, the commode is clean and working :bgrin: and the place is clean. lupa nak cakap, kami amik bilik kipas je...kalau nak aircond kena tambah $5/nite.
kat siem reap ade masjid and surrounded by rumah2 org2 melayu champa ni..i was told ade kedai2 hahal ni tapi kami tak sempat pegi so i donno wht the condition is like...
so bila u all nak pegi? |
