Episode1

There was actually a legend to Dolphin Bay, it was said that the first person that you express your feelings to on the Dolphin Bay, he/she would be your ultimate lover. Tian Bian's mum brought Tian Bian to her grandpa hoping that he can look after her and provides a better environment for her, however Tian's Bian grandfather was unwilling to acknowledge her because she was a girl. Tian Bian's mum brought her to a bakery and that's where she first met Zhe Ya. In order to rescue Tian Bian, her mum got knocked down by a car and passes away. After Tian Bian's mum passed away, she was brought to the orphanage where Zhe Ya was in.

Initially Tian Bian was unwilling to speak to anyone but slowly she and Zhe Ya became good friends. Unfortunately, Zhe Ya's grandfather found him and decided to bring him home. Zhe Ya promised Tian Bian that he would come back for her. One day a lady came, wanting to adopt Tian Bian, as she's the only child left in the orphanage. Initially, she was unwilling to leave as she's still waiting for Zhe Ya. Finally Zhe Ya manage to persuade his grandfather to adopt Tian Bian but she already left when they reached the orphanage. Ever since then Zhe Ya lost contact with Tian Bian and Tian Bian has always thought that Zhe Ya did not keep his promise.

Years later the grown up Zhe Ya came back from America to take over the company, he also went back to the orphanage hoping to get news of Tian Bian but could not find out anything. This was also the day where Shen Man Qing a well-known singer held a conference regarding her new album "Man Bu Yun Duan". Tian Bian was a fan of Man Qing and hoped that she could get her autograph but was stop by her mum; finally she managed to escape with the help of Zhong Ting, her neighbor. Man Qing was being asked of her relationship with her album producer, Chung Xiao Gang. Xiao Gang decided to announce their relationship to the press and Man Qing felt delighted.

Xiao Gang decided to change the singer of "Man Bu Yun Duan" as he feels that Man Qing is unable to express the feeling that he wanted for this album. Shan Ni objected to it but however Zhe Ya agreed to give Xiao Gang some time to find the voice that he wanted. Shan Ni's relationship with Zhe Ya has always been bad as she always thought that her grandfather was biased towards Zhe Ya. This day, Shan Ni's mum prepared a vehicle for Zhe Ya but she actually collaborated with the driver to delay Zhe Ya so that he could not get to the meeting on time and she would be able to persuade the others to sell one of their land. Tian Bian has been secretly in love with Zhong Ting and decided to express her love for him, she asked him to meet her in one of the houses near the seaside. Zhe Ya accidentally passed by and Tian Bian thought that it was Zhong Ting and she started expressing her love for him. After a moment then she realized its Zhe Ya, she scolded Zhe Ya for eavesdropping on her. Zhe Ya asked her for directions back to the city, Tian Bian who was quite hard up asked him for money and he willingly give it. While driving him to board a bus, they fall down from the bike and Tian Bian's bike got spoilt and Tian Bian also missed the chance to let Zhong Ting know about her feeling.

Zhe Ya managed to reach the company on time to stop Shan Ni's mum from selling the land and also agreed that he would be responsible for coming up with the funds for "Man Bu Yun Duan" and he would resign if he were unable to do so.

Episode 2

Zhe Ya remembered that Tian Bian's bicycle got spoilt while helping him and therefore got his assistant to return a bicycle to Tian Bian. Shan Ni's mum offered to help Zhe Ya with raising of the funds but Zhe Ya could not decide if he could believe her sincerity but finally he decided to believe her as he believed that trust is the most important thing within a family.

Tian Bian decided to take part in the singing competition hoping to win the sum of money to return the debts they owed but was opposed by her mum. Tian Bian secretly recorded a demo and her beautiful voice caught the attention of Zhe Ya who came to look for her. Zhe Ya told Tian Bian that he would make up for her as she lost the opportunity to express her feelings to Zhong Ting while helping him. This day, he asked Zhong Ting out on Tian Bian's behalf and wanted Tian Bian to try it again. Only then, Tian Bian realized the Zhong Ting already got a girlfriend and has all along treated her like a small sister. Tian Bian felt devastated upon hearing this and Zhe Ya consoled her. Before he left, he left his number with Tian Bian and wants her to call him if she encountered any problem. They finally exchanged their name but still does not recall that they knew each other since child time as Zhe Ya only knew Tian Bian by the name of "Xiao Pin Gai" and Tian Bian only knew him by the name of "TaTa".

Xiao Gang starts to listen to the demo tapes to select the candidates for the audition but after a long time, he still could not find the voice that he wanted. Then he start listening to Tian Bian's demo and began to develop good feelings for her voice but her tape spoilt her way through and Xiao Gang got frustrated but his assistant told him that Yi Tian Bian's voice is one of the best they have heard so far. Xiao Gang then decides to give her a chance.

Zhe Ya saw Tian Bian's name under the list of audition, he decided to send Tian Bian a dress as a form of encouragement. The TV station called Tian Bian up regarding the audition but was answered by her mum instead. Her mum realized that Tian Bian had signed up for the competition without her approval and refused to let Tian Bian answer the call. The postman that's delivering the dress arrived and Tian Bian saw the card congratulating her for getting into the audition but she thought its from the TV Station.

Episode 3

Tian Bian's mother stopped Tian Bian from going out, as she knew that Tian Bian would be going for the audition today but Zhong Ting promised to help her. The time to go for the audition is up but Tian Bian still did not see Zhong Ting. She began to feel anxious but still she still manages to sneak out by climbing the windows. Tian Bian could not get Zhong Ting and was feeling anxious of how she's going to reach the TV station on time, and then she remembered Zhe Ya. When Tian Bian called him, he was actually having a meeting with the represents from the bank but he still decides to help Tian Bian. Xiao Gang decided to start off the audition without waiting for Tian Bian.

Tian Bian was wondering why is Zhe Ya able to drive through the TV station without any restrictions and thought that she might be the staff of the TV station. She then asked Zhe Ye which department he's in and Zhe Ya told her, basically he's not with any department particularly. Just as Zhe Ya want to tell her his positions, Tian Bian thought he's new and was not assigned to any department yet. As Tian Bian was late, Zhe Ya did not get a chance to explain to her. The audition was over when Tian Bian reached the studio, she wanted Xiao Gang to giver her another chance but Xiao Gang did not. Tian Bian called Zhe Ya and Zhe Ya could hear that she's crying and therefore asked her what's going on. Tian Bian then told him that she had missed the auditions.

Zhe Ya told Tian Bian to continue singing in the studio and after that he went to the control room and broadcasted her singing. Xiao Gang heard it and was amazed by the voice, he quickly ran back and without thinking he hug Tian Bian and told her that he finally found it. Man Qing who was around saw it and recalled that Xiao Gang also did that to her when she first came for the audition back then. Xiao Gang decided to use Tian Bian is the main singer for their new album "Man Bu Yun Duan". He told Tian Bian that he was shocked that Tian Bian, a plain-looking girl could actually sing so well. He ordered Tian Bian that from now on, she's to take care of her voice.

Zhe Ya sent Tian Bian home and was shocked to see her mother fainted. Tian Bian regretted running away from home and refused to listen to her. This day, the loan sharks came wanting Tian Bian and her mum to return the debts they owned. Tian Bian told the loan sharks that she won a singing competition and will get a large sum of money. Xiao Gang appeared and returned part of the money to them and after getting the money they left. Tian Bian's mum told Xiao Gang that she will not let Tian Bian sing no matter what but Xiao Gang told her that they have already taken the money and therefore Tian Bian could not withdraw. Tian Bian told her mother that she has already decided to sing as they were really in need of money and Tian Bian's mother finally agreed to it.

Xiao Gang wanted Tian Bian to stay with him so that he will be able to take care of her but Tian Bian thought that it might not be a good idea but Xiao Gang insisted.

Episode 4

Man Qing saw Tian Bian when she came looking for Xiao Gang and was shocked that she's living with Xiao Gang. Tian Bian decided to take a walk outside leaving the both of them for a good talk. Man Qing wanted Xiao Gang to get married with her but Xiao Gang wanted her to give him more times and both of them end up with a quarrel. Some guy took Tian Bian away and she was shocked to see the uncle that was looking for purple seashell at the beach. The Uncle wanted Tian Bian to help her in looking for the seashell and Tian Bian agrees to it.

Zhe Ya happened to call Tian Bian and wants to ask her out and therefore she wanted him to meet her at the beach. Both of them search for a whole day but still could not find the purple seashell. Zhe Ya suggests painting it. They then send the seashell to the uncle. The uncle told Zhe Ya that Tian Bian is a good girl and wanted him to take care of her. Tian Bian finally went home after a day and was scolded by Xiao Gang whom has been looking for her the whole day. During the stay at Xiao Gang's place, he had been taking very good care of Tian Bian and she had the kind of care that she never had before.

This day a mad guy came to the TV station, requested to see Man Qing and if not he will bomb the station. Shan Ni went to handle to situation without waiting for Zhe Ya and Zhe Ya was alarmed when he knew it. He decided to go into the studio to rescue the crew and Shan Ni without waiting for the police. Zhe Ya wanted the guy to release Shan Ni and held him as the hostage instead but the guy refused and insisted on seeing Man Qing. The guy tied the bomb to Shan Ni and started it, Shan Ni wanted Zhe Ya to leave but Zhe Ya insisted on stopping the bomb and saving Shan Ni. Shan Ni was touched by Zhe Ya and also began to accept him.

Shan Ni warned Zhe Ya about the finance guy that her mum recommended to Zhe Ya but Zhe Ya insisted on believing her, which makes Shan Ni develop more admiration to him.

Episode 5

This day, Zhe Ya and the other board directors were to sign the contract with the representatives of the bank but the representatives changed his mind and refused to sign the contract with Zhe Ya. He was actually in cahoots with Sha Ni's mum and therefore Zhe Ya were force to leave SET. After he left, another representatives from the bank arrive and offered to sign the contract with Zhe Ya. Shan Ni's mum offers to sign it on Zhe Ya's behalf but they insisted that they would only sign the contract with Zhe Ya. Zhe Ya went to the orphanage after he left SET; Sha Ni followed him there and saw him having a good time playing with the kid. Zhe Ya saw Shan Ni and wanted her to join in. Shan Ni persuade Zhe Ya to return to SET. Shan Ni told Zhe Ya that she would get the recognition of all through her own effort and not through underhand method.

Zhe Ya agreed to return to SET, he then discovered that the representatives were sent by the uncle whom he and Tian Bian has helped to find purple shells for him. The uncle wrote a letter telling him that he long knew that the purple shell that Tian Bian and Zhe Ya gave to him were fake but however he appreciate their effort in helping him and wanted to show his thanks to Zhe Ya by offering the contract. Zhe Ya told Tian Bian that the uncle has given him a great help and both of them decide to visit him at the hospital but were alarmed that he had already passed away. Tian Bian blamed herself for bringing the purple shell to the uncle, and said that if she had not fulfilled his wished, he might not passed away.

SET finally agreed to use Tian Bian as the main singer of "Man Bu Yun Duan". Shan Ni was worried that Tian Bian might not get the recognition of other investors of this album and therefore asked for a press conference whereby she would be introduce to the press and she would also sing on the spot. Xiao Gang objected to it but Zhe Ya agreed with Shan Ni's idea... Xiao Gang wanted to introduce Tian Bian to the director whom was Zhe Ya but he was not around when they went. Tian Bian and Zhe Ya went out and Tian Bian scolded the director for agreeing to the press conference, which lead to Xiao Gang applying more pressure on her. Zhe Ya wanted to explain to her that he was actually the director but did not get a chance.

Xiao Gang loses his temper on Tian Bian as he wanted Tian Bian to learn how to read scores but did not get any improvements from her after many training. Tian Bian was unhappy with Xiao Gang 'coz of his bad attitude but still carry on singing. Xiao Gang brought Tian Bian to his ex-girlfriend's graves and told her about their love story hoping that Tian Bian would put more feelings into her singing. Tian Bian was touched by what he says and falls in love with him.

Episode 6

Zhe Ya asked Tian Bian to the rooftop and was found out by Xiao Gang. Xiao Gang ordered Tian Bian to return to the studio with him as they were now in a critical stage of training. Zhe Ya wanted to tell Tian Bian that he likes her but was disappointed when Tian Bian told him that she might have fallen in love with Xiao Gang. The loan sharks went to look for Tian Bian's mum and wanted her to pay up the rest of her debts but then she fainted and they got a shock. They wanted to inform Tian Bian but were stopped by Tian Bian's mum. Man Qing was jealous of Tian Bian and asked her if Xiao Gang had told her about his love story with his ex-girlfriend and told her that he told this to all his girlfriends before, including her and all these were his tactics to woo girls.

Tian Bian felt sad initially but told Man Qing that he believes in Xiao Gang as she could sense his truth feeling when he told her about it. Tian Bian told Xiao Gang that she likes him but was rejected by Xiao Gang and Xiao Gang told her that he would never like her. Xiao Gang told Tian Bian that what he told her earlier on was all lies and tells her not to bear any thoughts for him. Tian Bian wanted Xiao Gang to follow her to one places and it was actually Dolphin Bay. Xiao Gang reprimanded Tian Bain for wasting his time and left. He wanted Tian Bian to return to SET on her own but being softhearted, he waited for Tian Bian and Tian Bian was delighted to see him.

Episode 7

Zhe Ya received a call from the orphanage informing him that they have got news of "xiao pin gai" which is Tian Bian. Zhe Ya was shocked to know that Tian Bian is "xiao pin gai", and he also found out that he is not from the Xu family. Tian Bian is the grand-daughter of the Xu family and not him, he felt guilty towards Tian Bian as he felt that he had taken those things that should have belong to Tian Bian. Zhe Ya went home and confronted his grandfather. Zhe Ya was shocked that his grandfather longed knew that he does not have any blood relationship with the Xu family. After Zhe Ya's grandfather discovered the truth, he realized that Zhe Ya was an intelligent boy and could be the right successor to his company and therefore decided to continue to groom him. He told Zhe Ya that he does have this intention of marrying Shan Ni to him. Zhe Ya realized that he does not have the intention of acknowledging Tian Bian, was unable to take the truth and left home. Zhe Ya tell his grandfather that he will not marry Shan Ni as all along, he only treated Shan Ni like his sister. Shan Ni, whom was currently outside, overheard their conversations and walked away. Zhe Ya told his grandfather that he will agree to marry Shan Ni provided that he acknowledge Tian Bian and allow her to return to the Xu family.

Zhe Ya wanted to tell the truth to Tian Bian but he realized that Tian Bian has been feeling very unhappy that "Tata" had not kept his promise of returning to look for her. She was also angry with his grandfather that causes her mum's death. Upon hearing this, Zhe Ya is unable to bring himself to tell Tian Bian the truth. Zhe Ya decided to bring Tian Bian to see his grandfather; he gives it as an excuse for her to meet up with the director. Tian Bian's grandfather does not know that Tian Bian is his granddaughter and had a nice time talking with her.

The following day will be the press conference and Tian Bian was feeling nervous about it. Zhe Ya tried all means to encourage her and he will always be there to support her. Man Qing was unhappy when she saw that Xiao Gang is very caring towards Tian Bian. She decided to ask Tian Bian out and at the same time, she also asked to meet Xiao Gang.
