Cesc Fabregas Warns Manchester United About Arsenal's Formidable Home Form
The Gunners skipper is highlighting just how difficult the side are to overcome on their own patch...
Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas has issued a stark warning to Manchester United, claiming that the Gunners' home advantage will mean that they turn in a different performance entirely from their 1-0 first leg defeat in the Champions League semi-final, the second leg of which is at Ashburton Grove tomorrow night.
"For most of the players, this could be the most important game of their career and it’s probably the biggest game that has ever been played at the Emirates," he told The Sun.
"At home we know we are very strong and will have our fans behind us. When you play at home it is completely different for any team in the world. You are playing behind your fans, you know the stadium, the pitch, the grass better. You know where you have to play the ball and when you do not have to play it.
"As a team, if we are strong, compact, and put pressure on them I am sure we have a great chance of going through.”
Many supporters were disappointed with Arsenal's performance in last week's first leg, where only a supreme display by goalkeeper Manuel Almunia prevented a heavier defeat, but the Catalan maestro remains convinced that the Gunners will progress.
"We know what we can do - we know we are good and we just have to be positive and believe we can do it," he continued.
"We know we can be really strong if we play as a team and individual stuff will come during the game. The most important thing is that the team is united and we are.
"Let’s focus on our game, be positive and go for it!" |

Arsenal win FA Women's Cup
Arsenal's Jane Ludlow celebrates winning the Cup
Arsenal Ladies beat Northern Division side Sunderland 2-1 at Derby's Pride Park to win their fourth FA Women's Cup final in succession.
Katie Chapman put Arsenal ahead after Sunderland goalkeeper Helen Alderson could only parry Gemma Davison's shot.
The Premier League side missed several chances before Kim Little sealed the win in injury time with a neat turn and finish after controlling a high ball.
Kelly McDougall got a consolation with the last kick of the match.
The trophy was the 30th of Vic Akers' spell as manager and came in his penultimate match in charge of the side.
The 62-year-old, who founded the women's team 22 years ago and led them to a quadruple in 2006-07, will hope to make it 31 next week when Arsenal take on Everton in the final match of the Premier League season. |

Arsenal v Man United - Get behind the team
Tuesday night抯 UEFA Champions League Semi-Final Second Leg match against Manchester United is possibly the most important match ever to be played at Emirates Stadium.
With the encounter delicately poised, we urge all Arsenal supporters to arrive early at Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night, so that the stadium is completely full by kick-off.
