Chelsea captain John Terry believes he could be fit to return to action in the FA Cup fifth-round clash with Huddersfield next weekend. (game trening... )
The England defender has not played since suffering a foot injury during the Blues' defeat to Arsenal in December, but the 27-year-old is confident he will be back soon.
Terry told Sky Sports: "I did a full training session with the reserves today and two light ones the two previous days with the first team.
"I joined in a little bit with the reserves and no reaction so far so I'm very pleased.
"Fitness-wise I'm probably a week to 10 days away. If I can get a good week's training under my belt maybe the weekend is a small possibility I think."
After their cup clash with the Terriers on Saturday, Avram Grant's side take on Olympiacos in the Champions League a week on Tuesday and then face Tottenham in the Carling Cup final the following Sunday.

Chelsea captain John Terry reckons he'll be back in action for Saturday's FA Cup tie. Boss Avram Grant begs to differ, saying even the Carling Cup final is too much to ask
Chelsea defender John Terry may have his eye on a Blues return as soon as possible, but manager Avram Grant says he needs to be a little more realistic and not be rushed back.
And while Terry hopes to be involved this Saturday in the FA Cup at home to Huddersfield, Grant reckons even the following weekend's Carling Cup clash with Tottenham at Wembley is out of the question.
That would also mean his misses the first leg of the Champions League tie in Greece against Olympiacos.
Optimistic
Terry has been out of action since December after injuring his foot against Arsenal, but speaking yesterday seemed extremely positive on his return.
"I did a full training session with the reserves and two light ones the two previous days with the first team," said the defender. "I joined in a little bit with the reserves and I抳e had no reaction so far so I抦 very pleased.
"I抦 probably a week to 10 days away. If I can get a good week抯 training under my belt maybe the weekend is a small possibility.
