140226 SBS Three Days Sold to China at the Highest Price …Beating You Who Came from Stars and Heirs

SBS Wed/Thurs dramas have successively set a new record in terms of copyright sale price to China..
New Wed/Thurs drama <Three Days> (screenplay by Kim Eun Hee, directed by Shin Kyung Soo) scheduled to air its premiere on March 5th already completed its copyright sales to China even before the airing in Korea. A high-rank personnel from SBS revealed, “<Three Days> was sold to China at the highest price before it starts its airing in Korea.”
<Three Days> has easily beaten the prices of copyright sales of <You Who Came from Stars> and <Heirs> which had been previously broadcasted during the same time slot and achieved a prior sale contract. Hereby, SBS has succeeded in exporting three Wed/Thurs dramas consecutively and has been leading Hallyu drama market.
This personnel added, “Above all, the fact that the realm of Hallyu drama could be extended by exporting Korean style genre drama <Three Days> with a high price of copyright is particularly meaningful. In addition, Hallyu star, Park Yuchun’s appearance in this drama was able to help set the highest price.Moreover, although romantic comedies or historical dramas have shown their strength in the field of Hallyu drama, I hope, starting with <Three Days>, various kinds of Korean dramas will be introduced to the world.”
Followed by the sales to China, the copyright sales of <Three Days> is being underway. Although the Hallyu boom has slowed down in Japan, its export is expected to be smooth.
<Three Days> is a drama portraying the story of the president and the security officer who investigates the case of the missing president that disappeared while staying in the presidential villa to spend his vacation. Writer Kim Eun Hee who has presented her powerful writing capability through <Sign> and <Ghost> collaborated with Director Shin Kyung Soo of <Deep Rooted Trees>. Park Yuchun, Sohn Hyun Joo, Yoon Je Moon, Jang Hyun Sung, So Yi Hyun and Park Ha Sun will be in this drama.
