ABS-CBN pioneers another first in interactive broadcasting history as it sails into the final week of the hit teleserye "Sana'y Wala Nang Wakas". For the very first time in the history of the soap opera world, "Sana'y Wala Nang Wakas" will air its teleserye finale on July 9, based solely on the outcome of text votes.
Since February, ABS-CBN Interactive has been gathering text votes in order to get the viewing public's pulse on whom of the series' four lead characters-Christian (Jericho Rosales), Ara (Kristine Hermosa), Leo (Diether Ocampo) and Mary Ann (Angelika de la Cruz)-will get together for the final episode of "Sana'y Wala Nang Wakas".
Out of the four possible couples, only two remain standing: Loveteam #1, the original series team-up of Christian and Ara and Loveteam #2, the love team of Ara and Leo.
Now that the series is coming to an end, fans can help decide which couple will finally end up being married in the series finale. To vote for your favorite loveteam, text SANAY and send to 2331 for Globe subscribers or 231 for Smart, Talk 'N' Text, and Addict Mobile subscribers. A sample SMS should look like this: SANAY 1, if you're voting Ara-Christian, and SANAY 2 if you're voting Ara-Leo.
To further serve the voice of the Filipino fans, The Filipino Channel, which airs ABS-CBN programming worldwide, will also receive votes from its international affiliates through online voting through the "Sana'y Wala Nang Wakas" site at abs-cbn.com. Because the "Sana'y Wala Nang Wakas" team taped two versions of the series finale, the true voice of the fans - from any region in the world - will be followed when the show's finale airs.
And since a live tally for the votes will be maintained by ABS-CBN Interactive until an hour before broadcast begins on the final episode, not even the ABS-CBN executives know what episode will be aired in the Philippines. As such, anything can happen for this breakthrough airing, which will also have an audio simulcast through DZMM and a video broadcast in Plaza Miranda.
