She herself has made it to the list of World’s Most Beautiful People, 100 Sexiest Women in the World and 100 Hottest Hotties. However, Hollywood actor Catherine Zeta Jones is all praise for the stunning looks of none other than our diva, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
As per HT Catherine saw pictures of Ash with her husband, Hollywood actor Michael Douglas, when the two attended the International Peace Day at the UN Headquarters in New York together, and confessed that she couldn’t take her eyes off Ash’s pictures.
“Michael recently met Aishwarya. I saw the pictures and she is just as he described her, beautiful,” the 43-year-old actor said.
So there goes another hollywood star smitten by charming Ash.

Akshay is scheduled to hold a press conference a day after the Bombay High Court’s hearing on Advani’s case of domestic violence against the family.
Sources say Akshay Kumar is getting ready to face the media after Bombay High Court's hearing on December 17 regarding Anita Advani's domestic violence case against his family.
Ever since the demise of his father-in-law Rajesh Khanna, Akshay Kumar and his family have remained tight-lipped about allegations leveled by the late actor's live-in partner Anita Advani. However, according to our sources, Akshay is all set to speak to the media for the first time on the matter most probably on December 18.
Akshay is scheduled to hold a press conference a day after the Bombay High Court's hearing on Advani's case of domestic violence against the family.
A source close to the Khanna family says, "As of now the family has been strictly asked not to speak to members of the press. They will break their silence after the hearing."
In her complaint, Advani has sought for a monthly maintenance of R 10 lakh and an access to the late superstar's Carter Road bungalow.
Prakash Rohra, a close friend and business partner of Khanna says, "I was Kakaji's friend for many years. All the claims made by Anita are false."
Advani had also claimed that she had paid for the renovation work that took place in Aashirwad. However, Rohra states, "Anita didn't get it done. It was my construction company that did the job."

The 38-year-old actress married Devgn at the peak of her career and currently raises two children with him but that has not affected her demand in Bollywood.
Bollywood superstar Kajol, who has been one of the favourite actresses of Yash Raj Films with films like Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge and Fanaa, says the tussle between her husband Ajay Devgn's production house and YRF affected her relationship with the latter.
"Yes, it affected my relationship. But that was a situation which had come out of ordinary. It was not a normal situation... It doesn't occur normally. It doesn't happen everyday... Hopefully, it will not happen in future again," said Kajol on the sidelines of Agenda Aaj Tak's session 'Supertar-Supermom-to Superstar'.
The controversy began when ADF filed a complaint in the Competition Commission Of India (CCI) alleging that YRF used its dominant position in the market to get maximum screens for Jab Tak Hai Jaan, which resulted in Devgn's Son of Sardaar not finding enough screens.

Kajol, who starred in hits like Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham and My Name Is Khan post her marriage, said she is happy to see the industry going through a positive change.
"Time has changed in the industry. It's a good time for women because people are willing to experiment now. Even our audience are bound to think and want something different. It's a fantastic time for women in the industry as directors are taking a risk with them," she said.
But she still feels that industry is being dominated by male actors.
"I agree that it's a perfect time for an actress to be in the industry but I still feel it's male dominated. You can't take away the male domination on the basis of female-oriented films doing good business in the box-office," she added.
When politician Lalu Prasad Yadav asked her about the vulgar content in today's films, Kajol said, "I agree with you. Being a mother, I also face difficulty to watch some films with my kids. But I feel that cinema reflect our society and its changes."

Bollywood was,is and will probably always be a male-dominated industry with its pretty actresses as props to Khans,Kumars and Kapoors. But once in a while a rarely well-made woman-centric film comes up,which has us all staring wonder-eyed at the power of the heroine at helm.Very few directors want to take the risk of casting a woman in the lead role of their film without any major hero.But when they do invest this power in their heroines,then it’s a treat to watch.
2012 saw quite a few "heroines"in Bollywood take centrestage and shoulder the film on their shoulders.Whether it was the legendary Sridevi making a comeback or the talented Vidya Balan delivering yet another woman centric hit,these actresses were the "hero"and "heroine" of their films. Yet another feather in the already overcrowded Ms.Balan’s cap.Kahaani a thriller film directed by Sujoy Ghosh features Vidya Balan, Parambrata Chatterjee and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in lead roles.The film features Balan as Vidya Bagchi, a pregnant woman in search of her missing husband in the city of Kolkata during the Durga Puja festivities, who is helped in her quest by Satyaki "Rana" Sinha and Khan .Made on a shoestring budget of 8 crore, Kahaani had a worldwide gross at 104 crore and domestic gross of 58 crore. Critics praised the screenplay, the cinematography and the performances of the lead actors,gained additional acclaim for Vidya Balan for an unconventional approach to female-centric themes, resulted in renewed interest in Kolkata as a filming location, and the character of contract killer Bob Biswas became an internet phenomenon in India.This indeed is a ‘mother’ of a success story for a small budget film that began with no backers.

DANGEROUS ISHQ(11 May)-
Dangerous Ishhq Supernatural thriller film directed by Vikram Bhatt and starring Karisma Kapoor in the lead role. The story spans five centuries beginning from the 15th century with Karishma essaying 5 different roles spanning five generations! The story deals with a supermodel’s fiancé being kidnapped by an enemy who has been chasing her through generations, and to save her beloved from the clutches of her enemy she has to unravel her past lives.The film marked Karisma Kapoor’s return to films after a hiatus of nine years and was highly anticipated but unfortunately the film bombed both critically and commercially and received negative reviews from critics.

RAAZ 3(7 September)-
A horror thriller film directed by Vikram Bhatt,the film is a sequel to Raaz(2002) and Raaz – The Mystery Continues(2009) and stars Bipasha Basu who was a part of the first film of the Raaz series, and made a comeback to the series after opting out of the second film,Emraan Hashmi and Esha Gupta. The story revolves around Shanaya ,an actress at the height of her success who has a passionate affair with a handsome director named Aditya .This all ends when a younger actress, Sanjana makes her film debut. Suddenly, Shanaya seems forgotten and everybody only wants to work with Sanjana. Soon enough, Aditya also leaves Shanaya for Sanjana, and Shanaya sees her career fading away and she slowly becomes crazy. She begins to turn to black magic and makes it her goal in life to destroy Sanjana and get back the man she loves, Aditya.Raaz 3 became the second horror 3D movie of India,had a fabulous opening at the box office and had a total gross of 67 crore domestically.The movie received mixed reviews from critics,pointing out Bipasha as the saving grace of the film.

A greatly hyped and anticipated film,directed by National Award winning director Madhur Bhandarkar,the film features Kareena Kapoor as Mahi Arora-Bollywood’s reigning queen,whose career declines and soon her life goes into a downward spiral and is a daring, shocking, glamorous, scandalous portrayal of showbiz and also stars Arjun Rampal and Randeep Hoda.Originally the first choice for her role, Kapoor was hesitant to take on the project when Bhandarkar approached her with the film citing reservations about the criticism her character might evoke as well as the intimate sequences with several of her co-stars, and was subsequently replaced by Aishwarya Rai.Several days after production began, Rai left the film due to her pregnancy, and Bhandarkar re-approached Kapoor with the film who then agreed to do the film.Upon release Heroine received mixed to negative reviews from critics,with Kareena’s performance being singled out for praise,while the stotyline and direction received criticism.Opening well in multiplexes,Heroine had a total gross of 33 crores.

Directed by Gauri Shinde and produced by R. Balki,the film stars Sridevi in her comeback after a 15 year hiatus from Bollywood,and also stars French actor Mehdi Nebbou ,Priya Anand and Amitabh Bachchan in a cameo(Ajith Kumar in the Tamil version) and was made simultaneously in Hindi and Tamil and released on 5 October 2012 in India after a prior 14 September screening in the Toronto Film Festival. The film revolves around housewife Shashi Godbole,a middle aged dedicated homemaker who is taken for granted by her husband and daughter due to her poor English,who then enrolls in an English language course in order to please her husband and family.Going against all odds,English Vinglish emerged as a Super Hit at the box office with a worldwide gross of 63 crore and a domestic gross of 37.80 crore after completing a golden jubilee.At the screening in Toronto Film Festival,Sridevi was hailed by the American media as “India’s Meryl Streep”and the film received a standing ovation.After its release in India the film received universal critical acclaim with critics calling it a “must watch film”,thus making Sridevi the only Bollywood actress to make a successful comeback after 15 years.

A romcom film directed by Sachin Kundalkar and produced Anura Kashyap and Viacom18,Aiyyaa stars Rani Mukherjee in the leading role and Malyalam actor Prithviraj in his Bollywood debut. The story is about a Marathi girl Meenakshi falling in love with a Tamil artist Surya . She is a librarian at a college and her mother is obsessed with marriage.Not believing in arranged marriage Rani looks for her dream man when she finds Surya an art student with tanned skin and a mysterious fragrance emanating from him.The films songs including “Dreamum Wakeupum”and “Aga Bai”became extremely popular.However upon its release the film was declared a “flop” and garnered mixed to negative reviews with criticism for the inadequacy of the plot, with Rani Mukherjee’s performance being praised by critics.

I've not mentioned Iskhq In Paris and Shobhana 7 Nights because their release date is extended indefinitely.This year has seen some exemplary work done by some of our actresses,and then again not so much.From comedy to drama to action to thriller,they've rocked in all kinds of films.So which is your favourite woman-centric film of 2012?
It's probably that time of the year when we should be asking who wins Jodi of the Year 2012 but this year we saw some fantastic trio's. It was fantastic to see these actors & actress complementing each other in their respective scenes rather than trying to out do each other. Even the promotion events were entertaining and fun. All these movies ended up either as commercial or critical success thanks to the story, direction, acting and fantastic chemistry between our 3 leading stars.
