Eventually, Iwane detects the conspiracy behind the deaths of the two friends and struggles to reform his domain.

Young actress Aki Nishihara has been cast in the starring role of Fuji TV's daytime drama series "Shiro to Kuro," scheduled to begin its run on June 30.
The "white and black" meaning of the show's title refers to two contrasting brothers who form a love triangle with Nishihara's character. Katsuya Kobayashi plays the "good" older brother who happens to be engaged, while Yuki Sato (of "Kamen Rider Kabuto") plays the "bad" and wild younger brother. Rumiko Koyanagi and Kei Yamamoto are among the supporting cast members.

The family drama "Daisuki! Itsutsugo" is now entering its 10th series, with Yumi Morio and Yasuhiro Arai still playing the parents of quintuplets. The show has been running every summer since 1999, though the current cast of children first appeared in 2005. With the kids already graduated from high school, it seems that the Sakurai's child-raising days are over, but the family ends up temporarily taking in a group of 6-year-old quintuplets after their mother is hospitalized.

Teen model Aoi Nakabeppu, who is currently serving as this year's Toray Swimwear Campaign Girl, will be starring in her first drama series this summer.
The series, "Walkin' Butterfly," is based on a manga of the same name by Chihiro Tamaki. Nakabeppu plays a young woman aiming to be a model, but she has a complex about being too tall.
The show is also getting an unusual crossover with a major movie. The film is Takahisa Zeze's "Flying Rabbits" (in theaters September 13), which revolves around the women's basketball team JAL Rabbits. Several of the film's stars, including Satomi Ishihara and Saori Takizawa, will make guest appearances in the drama as their characters from the movie.
