After having this dream about Aisha, Muhammad proceeded to ask her father Abu Bakr for her hand in marriage. Abu Bakr understandably objected at first, but Muhammad was able to persuade him to agree, and Aisha was later taken to Muhammad抯 house:
The Prophet (may the blessing and peace of Allah be upon him) asked Abu Bakr for Aisha抯hand in marriage. Abu Bakr said:揃ut I am your brother. |

QUESTION :
AT THE TIME WHEN THIS HADITH WAS UTTERED, HOW OLD WAS 'AISHA? DID YOU KNOW?
WHERE IS THE PROOF OR EVIDENCE THAT 'AISHA WAS A YOUNG BRIDE WHEN THIS HAPPENED?
IT WAS NOT MENTIONED IN THE HADITH.
Itis disturbing to find repeated mention of one of Aisha抯 tasks as Muhammad抯 wife. The young bride was required to clean semen marks fromMuhammad抯 clothes before he would go out to pray:
WAS IT MERELY AN ASSUMPTION FROM AN ANTI-MUSLIM FANATIC?
DID YOU SIMPLY ASSUME THAT 'AISHA WAS A YOUNG BRIDE WHEN THIS HAPPENED?

I read it.
It basically recognises the fact that Mo did indeed married Aisha when she was only 6 and had sex with her when she was only 9.
However this article denies the paedophilia charge because the author justified Mo's actions to the purpose of educating aisha. He listed teh reason as follows:
# The Prophet married Aisha primarily for three reasons:
# To reinforce the friendly relations already existing with Abu Bakr (his closest companion).
# To educate and train Aisha so she may serve the purposes of Islam.
# To teach her to utilize her capabilities for the sake of Islam.
This i think is absolutely rubbish.
Abu Bakar was already the closest ally of Mo and was willing even to die for him. There was no need to reinforce this relation with a marriage with his child daughter.
Aisha wasn't much of an islamic schorlar at all. If you read through the hadiths she narated, she was basically a story teller who told what she experienced. Anybody can tell stories of their lives.
If indeed, the purpose was to educate Aisha, I don't see the need for mo to have any sex with her, just as teachers in school do not need to have sex or any intimate relationships with their students to impart knowledge at all. This is just a ,\lame excuse on the part of muslims to defend mohd's behavior.
Did Aisha use her capabilities for the sake of islam? Nope. She split islam by rebelling immediately after Mohd died. She wasn't a spiritual person but a carnal one. What else can one expect from a wife of a coninever? |
