even so , if he is truthful then he shouldnt fear for his life ...he should tell the truth irregardless of the consequences , he need not go into hiding.For instance,  Jesus ( A.S) spoke the truth  , even if it meant sacrificing himself why cant salman do the same?

there     has been numerous bad remarks and slanderous remarks on Bible by muslims and some even from Christians. Did we issue 'fatwa' to kill/or take other souls? No. We not God to take other humans souls. God will in time will judge them not us.

Alot of christian Kings braved the seas in what they believe it was the right thing to do , for example Joan D' Arc , she died at stake defending what she believed, Mother theresa died protecting the weak and diseased, Mahatma Gandhi who died for peace and Salman Rushdie?  silly old Salman is doing is cowering in hiding over his claim , if those words are sound and true why does he need to hide away from it ? what a pathetic liar..
