Viacom International Media Networks Congratulates Han Geng As the First Chinese Male Actor to Star in Transformers 4

CHINA, 16 July 2013 – Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) today congratulated Han Geng, who will be joining the latest installment of the Transformers franchise by Paramount Pictures, becoming the first Chinese Male Actor to be cast.

Han Geng, who is one of China’s most well-known pop idols, has already a rich history with Viacom, apart from Paramount Pictures, through MTV and Nickelodeon. He was named the most Popular Mainland Male Singer at the CCTV MTV Mandarin Music Honors, which celebrates the best in music from China, Taiwan and Hong Kong in August 2012. This was followed by Han Geng’s win in the Worldwide Act category at last year’s MTV EMA, MTV’s global celebration of the year’s best in music and one of the most influential awards programs in the music industry. He emerged the winner after fans voted for an artist or group from within five different regions. Most recently, he won the Favorite Asian Act at theNickelodeon's 26th Annual Kids' Choice Awards in March 2013.
