Modem maxis broadband wif sim celcom broadband

korang, aku ada masalah besar. aku beli modem maxis broadband rege dalam rm250 kt mudah.my...pastu aku register celcom broadband utk sim kadnya...masalahnya bila aku masuk simkad celcom dalam modem tuh, dia takleh detect...aku dah call maxis sama ada modem tu lock sim or tak tapi dia minta no acc lak...bila aku minta kat penjual tuh, dia cakap acc dia dah kena banned(ala2 tanak kasi no acc lah tuh)...sblm beli, dia cakap sume sim boleh masuk...member aku punya modem pun boleh masuk sim kad lain, so, aku konfidentlah beli....andaikata modem tuh tak lock sim, macam mana caranya aku nak connect internet guna modem tuh dgn simkad celcom tuh? tolong sesangat!!!

brand apa? model number apa?

kalo tau, ko bleh cari kat google dia punya unlocker.
macam iphone apple, henfon nokia, modem DSL/router dan lelain... ramai unlock sndiri guna software/flash je.

macam mana nak dapatkan software n flash tuh...sori la...bab2 macamni mmg buta IT banyak

jap, kalo dah tau modem tu maxis punya, nape ko gi register celcom? area ko takde coverage maxis 3g ke?

anyway, bgtau la modem ko brand apa, model number apa... mana tau aku atau sesapa kat forum ni ada jumpa cara unlock dia.

btw, kalo ko leh mintak refund ngan mamat tu, lagi elok.

sbb maxis mahal, lagipun kengkawan sume dok cakap coverage hampeh walaupun area KL...Model dia Huawei E220..

ko jgn dengar org cakap la.
ko check dulu coverage maxis kat area ko cemana. guna henfon 3g atau panggil/pinjam sesapa kawan ko yg dah pakai maxis 3g suh mai test kat rumah/area ko.

tapi oleh sebab ko dah register, payah la nak teminate kan sebab ada kontrak 6/12bulan?

xde contract....itu last solution...dah cuba download softwere tapi dia minta pin code...ke apa kebendanya...aku tgh try lagi cr kat google tuh..

Had a few people pm me for the instructions so I am just going to post them in this thread.

UNLOCKING '3' HUAWEI E220 USB MODEM

Huawei E220 USB modem is supplied by 3, T-Mobile & Vodafone.

Do the below with your laptop running on mains power or from a desktop pc.

READ through all the instructions first before starting. You do this at your own risk. It will void your warranty with your network provider.

Do Step one on the above link if you are using Windows VISTA. If you are not go direct to step two.

Do Step two on the link above regardless of the OS you are using. This will update the modem firmware to the latest version.

DO NOT DO STEP 3 on the link above. IT IS FOR VODAFONE MODEMS ONLY AND WILL LOAD THE VODAFONE DASHBOARD ON YOUR MODEM!

Download E220-UTPSB002D03SP04C03 (Normal) (7813 KB) 23-Nov-2007. Extract and run.

Edit: Just seen E220-UTPSB002D03SP16C03 (Normal) (6870 KB) 14-Jan-2008 is now on the site. I personally used the above.

The above program will update your modem dashboard to the latest version and unlock your modem. It replaces the '3' dashboard.

You will need to run the Mobile Partner setup program from your modem to install the new dashboard on your laptop.

Your new dashboard is the Mobile Partner software.

To set up a connection in Mobile Partner go to:

Tools > Options > Profile Management
Click New
Enter a profile name
The Settings for the '3' network are:
APN static
APN: three.co.uk
Access number: *98#
No username or password required leave blank
Click save

If you use a different networks simcard you will have to create a profile for that particular network using the correct settings for that network.
