Scientists have estimated that there are 8.7 million animal species on Earth. But there are still many strange and unusual creatures that we don't even know about. Here is the list of some strangest animals in the world.

Gangis MothCreatonotos gangis is a species of moth that lives in Southeast Asia and parts of Australia. Most of the time it looks like a normal moth with white wings and a red or yellow body. The odd things that are seen coming out of its abdomen are actually called coremata. Adult males inflate the glands to secrete pheromones to attract females for mating. The behavior is confusing and makes it look a bit like a sinister alien.
