Seven-Branched SwordThe Seven-Branched Sword or shichishitou in Japanese believed were built in 4th century CE. The sword was a gift from the king of Baekje to a ruler from Japan’s Yamato period. It is a 74.9 cm long iron sword with six branch-like protrusions along the central blade. The delicate nature of the sword branches suggest that it was never intended to be used as a weapon, but rather served a ceremonial function.Sword of GoujianGoujian's sword was discovered in 1965 in Hubei, China. Cast from tin bronze, it is known for its unusual sharpness and anti-fouling ability, which are rare among such ancient relics. Despite being more than 2,000 years old, the sword shows no trace of rust. The sword is 55.6 cm in length and the blade is 4.6 cm wide at its base. The sword is considered a national treasure and was probably once owned by the Emperor Goujian of Yue.
