SUBANG JAYA: A woman, who saw an unfamiliar car parked outside her brother-in-law’s house, was shocked to discover two men ransacking the place.
The stunned woman, who was with her two young children, rushed out and alerted policemen who happened to be patrolling the neighbourhood at that time.
An accomplice in the waiting car apparently also panicked. He rammed into the patrol car and two other vehicles while speeding off from the scene.
The policemen moved in to arrest two men, aged 33 and 32, in the house.
The woman and her children were not hurt.
Subang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Yahaya Ramli said the man in the getaway car escaped with valuables worth about RM7,000, including a mobile phone, a gold watch and cash.
The incident happened at Jalan SS17/5C at about 11am on Saturday, when the 56-year-old house owner was said to be in Port Klang.
ACP Yahaya said the 33-year-old man is wanted in connection with a robbery in Bandar Kinrara, near here.
“We have alerted our counterparts in neighbouring states to be on the lookout for a black Volkswagen Golf and its driver,” he said.
ACP Yahaya urged those with information on the case to contact the police hotline at 03-2052 9999 or the nearest police station.
