Cha Seung-won, Lee Yeon-hee, Kim Jae-won, Han Ju-wan and more at script reading rehearsal of ‘Hwajung’ On March 5, MBC’s new Monday-Tuesday television series ‘Hwajung(Flamboyant Politics, translated title)’ which shows off its dream cast, released a still cut from a script reading rehearsal in which the cast has all gathered. The first rehearsal was held on February 8 at MBC in Sang-am. The cast of characters: Cha Seung-won, Lee Yeon-hee, Kim Jae-won, Han Ju-wan, Park Young-kyu, Kim Chang-wan, Jo Sung-ha, Kim Gwang-kyu, Lee Sung-min, Yoo Seung-mok, Jung Woong-in, Kim Yeo-jin, Shin Eun-jung and more have participated in the meeting. The rehearsal went on more than four hours. Despite their very first practice, the actors have showed good performances and heated up the room as if they were actually acting before a camera. Cha Seung-won who was cast as King Gwang-hae, showed off his acting skills. He has revealed his character in a state of conflict between a man and cold-hearted king. In addition, the actors who were cast as supporting roles: Park Young-kyu, Kim Chang-wan, Jo Sung-ha, Lee Sung-min, Yoo Seung-mok and more, also showed realistic performances based on keen analysis of the script. Although Lee Yeon-hee, Kim Jae-won and Han Ju-wan are not planned to star in the beginning of the drama, they all took part in the meeting and stayed till the end, proving the cast’s cohesion and teamwork. “The first rehearsal went on in an enthusiastic atmosphere, thanks to our dream cast. I guarantee that it will be a flawless, exciting historical drama,” said an insider from Kim Jong-hak Production Inc. ‘Hwajung’ is a historical drama that will depict a story of Kings and their greed and jealousy on power in Joseon Dynasty, the chaotic period. It is is scheduled to premiere in April after MBC’s television series ‘Shine or Go Crazy’.
