Kim Soo Hyunis back as an alien!

The re-teaming of Jeon Ji Hyun and Kim Soo Hyun in SBS’s December drama Man From Another Star has been confirmed.

Do Min-Joon (Kim Soo Hyun) is an alien who landed on Earth 400 years ago during the Joseon Dynasty period. Do Min-Joon possesses a near perfect appearance and enhanced physical abilities involving his vision, hearing and speed. Do Min-Joon holds a cynical view to human beings, but he falls in love with actress Cheon Song-Yi (Jeon Ji Hyun).

The actors heated up the big screen when they previously starred together in The Thieves. It was the first time that Ji Hyun did a kissing scene, and it’s likely she’ll get more comfortable resting her lips on Soo Hyun’s puffy ones in Man From Another Star.

Ji Hyun’s last drama was 1999′s Happy Together, and since then, she has only acted in films and CFs. So, this new show is something to look forward to and might become a ratings dream for SBS.

So E Hyun To Star In SBS “Man From The Stars” As Jun Ji Hyun’s Threatening Rival

Earlier today, So E Hyun‘s agency (KEYEAST) confirmed the actress’ appearance in SBS drama “Man From The Star” (tentative title) as her next work.


Screenwriter Park Ji Eun who wrote the script of “Queen of Reversals” (MBC, 2010) and PD Jang Tae Yoo who directed the critically-acclaimed drama “Deep Rooted Tree” (SBS, 2011) were in preparation to work for “Man From The Stars”. Actor Kim Soo Hyun confirmed early to play for the title role & actress Jun Ji Hyun, who was his co-star in last year’s successful film “The Thieves”, was next to confirmed to act as Kim’s female lead on the most anticipated drama in the second half of 2013


“Man From The Stars” is a fictional romance drama based on the author’s outrageous and absurd imagination on the haunting story about flying objects occurred in 1609 (Mine Reclamation, 1st year) which is recorded in the ‘Annals of the Joseon Dynasty’. Drama tells the miracle of the sweet youthful romance between an alien man named Do Min Joon (Kim Soo Hyun) who fell on earth 400 years ago and  Korea’s top actress Cheon Song-Yi (Jun Ji Hyun).


In the drama, So E Hyun plays the character of announcer Yoo Se Mi who grew up in the family with legal professions and a top student in her school. She was beautiful woman with a playful smile and sophisticated manner but she’s bearing a sense of personal inferiority about beauty and love towards her female friend from junior high school Cheon Song-Yi (Jun Ji Hyun).
KEYEAST Official stated, “So E Hyun has gained high popularity and trust due to her recent vigorous work and activities, this time she is preparing to introduce a new look through this new project.  She’s ready to work hard and give her best in acting and I’ll ask everyone to please anticipate.”

TVXQ's Yunho in talks to become Kim Soo Hyun's rival in new SBS drama 'Man From the Stars'



TVXQ's Yunho is currently in talks for new SBS drama 'Man From the Stars', which previously confirmed its main leads, Jun Ji Hyun and Kim Soo Hyun.

A drama rep stated, "Yunho's camp is currently in talks for ['Man From the Stars']. Although it is not confirmed, there is a high possibility that Yunho will be cast."

Yunho is in talks to play the role of a chaebol Lee Hwi Kyung who is the fiance of Chun Song Yi (Jun Ji Hyun). Although Lee Hwi Kyung seems to have it all, he fights to win the heart of Chun Song Yi who is indifferent about him, getting involved in a love triangle with Do Min Jun (Kim Soo Hyun). Yunho received mixed reviews in the beginning for his previous role in the SBS drama 'Queen of Ambition' but showed much improvement throughout the show, so fans are looking forward to seeing how much growth he will show this time around, if confirmed for this production.

The rep continued, "Kim Soo Hyun and Jun Ji Hyun have already been confirmed so if Yunho joins, it can very well become a Hallyu drama that gains popularity not just in Korea but overseas as well."

'Man From the Stars' is the work of 'Deep-Rooted Tree's PD Jang Tae Woo and 'You Who Rolled In Unexpectedly's writer Park Ji Eun. The drama will portray an interesting story of an alien man, Do Min Jun, with great looks and out-of-this-world abilities, who has been living on Earth since the Joseon dynasty. Four centuries later, he falls in love with an actress named Chun Song Yi.

'Man From the Stars' is set to air this December!
