Synopsis
Hong Yeo-Joo (Park Gyuri) is a woman, but she disguises herself as a man to work at the nail salon "Paris," where only pretty men work.

KARA Park Gyuri
Park GyuRi as Hong YeoJoo (25) , her nickname is BaNi (Barney). She's a fantasy (gumiho related) online /internet novelist/writer. She lived in Indonesia with her dad when she was young. She's very smart and confident but lacks real life romance/dating experience as she is stuck in her room all the time with her computer. An issue arises when a case of plagiarism appears. The accusation bruises Yeoju's pride and she tries to move past it with a new novel but is scared of being accused again. One day Yeo Joo sees Alex encountering a dangerous situation like a modern day hero and interested in the hero, she decides to trail him and finds that he's a nail salon specialist. Wanting to write a new novel using him as material, she decides to cross dress and get a job at the Nail Salon Paris.
Jun Ji Hoo
Jeon Ji Hoo as Kim Ji Heon, his nickname is Alex , age 28.He's A Nail Specialist, he is an intelligent, sweet guy with handsome looks and a caring personality. He used to practice traditional medicine but after hurting a patient he gave it up due to his guilt.
In the Nail shop he is like an elder brother and mediates the conflict between others. He and K have a brother-like relationship and due to their different personalities, they fight at times. K is more expressive with emotions and Alex is usually calm and reserved, but their relationship is one of mutual acceptance and understanding.
He also watches over BaNi/YeoJoo as she is begins her training and helps her when she makes mistakes due to a clumsy nature. In addition, he praises Bani's sense of color and design.
Met with a misunderstanding surrounding a beautiful woman president, Alex believes he's in love but has never admitted it to her.
Song Jaerim
Song Jae Rim as Kang Jong Hyeok, age 27, his nickname is K.He's is the second nail artist. With a masculine image, he has a strong sense of justice and is known to keep a cool visage in front of customers, earning him the title "ice prince". With his strong sense of justice he has a tendency to act before he thinks and this ends up working against him as the situation usually gets worse. This leads to conflicts between him and Alex, who is more thoughtful.
As an artist and art student, he has a sharp eye and is considered the best nail artist in the shop. Originally disliking the idea of having Bani work in the shop, due to "his" feminine looks, K ends up finding his heart beating at the sight of Bani. "
MBLAQ Thunder
Park Sang Hyun (Cheondoong, 23). He plays Jin , Paris' maknae (youngest) flower boy nail artist.
A person full of aegyo (cuteness) and has a very sociable personality.
A very cheerful person also the atmosphere maker in Paris, he is one of the people that receives lots of love. Growing up without a father, he was brought up by his mother who works as a medium (shaman). Because he has experienced many things and hardships , he is a very good listener and he also share and gives good opinions. Because of his blood relation with his medium mother, he sometimes can help his customers with supernatural approaches, however, there are also times he make mistakes.
He is the maknae among all the nail artists, meeting Yeoju who came back to look after the nail art shop. As the both of them are of similar ages, they then become good friends. And there is Yeoju's roommate Jisoo who is very concern towards artists. After knowing that Jisoo is working in the television station he has been pestering the heroine to be friends with Jisoo and they become a really cute couple.

Rookie Actor to Play Love Interest to KARA’s Gyuri in “The Nail Shop Paris”
A newcomer actor will play love interest to KARA‘s Park Gyuri in the soon-to-premiere “The Nail Shop Paris.”According to reports in the local news agencies, J. Wide Entertainment announced the casting of one of their talents,Jeon Ji Ho in “The Nail Shop Paris.” The actor is cast after showing off his acting skills playing small roles in other dramas, and will be attempting his first lead role in this cable drama.
Jeon Ji Ho plays Alex, a fascinating character who also works in the nail shop called “Paris.” The character is said to be of handsome looks and has a caring nature that endears him to the hearts of the guests. He joins MBLAQ‘s Thunderand Song Jae Rim. In “The Nail Shop Paris,” Park Gyuri plays an Internet novelist who cross-dresses as a boy to work in a flower boy nail shop called Paris.
The drama premieres in April and will air on both MBC Drama Net and MBC Queen.
Jun Ji Hoo reveals he and Gyuri had a lot of kiss scenes for ‘Nail Salon Paris’
So just what were the most memorable scenes for actor Jun Ji Hoo while shooting the new drama ‘Nail Salon Paris‘?
It turns out they were the kiss scenes with co-star KARA‘s Gyuri! The cast of the new drama held a press conference on the 26th at the Seoul Yeouido CGV. When the MC asked him about the most memorable scenes, Jun Ji Hoo shared, “There were a lot of kiss scenes. So there were many awkward moments.” The MC then responded in confusion, “I don’t understand how kiss scenes can be difficult. Don’t you just do it?”
Jun Ji Hoo tried to explain, “There were a lot so for each individual kiss, we didn’t know what level of emotions we should show, so it was tough.” When the MC asked how many actual kiss scenes were shot, the actor commented, “According to my memory, there were four actual. However, because we kept filming them repeatedly, I remember it as being a whole lot.”
Gyuri will play the role of Hong Yuh Joo who is an internet fiction writer who cross dresses to work at ‘Nail Salon Paris’. Jun Ji Hoo will play the role of the heartthrob nail artist, Alex, who also works at the salon.
In the middle of filming on April 23, the power suddenly went out, shocking all the actors on set. After a tense moment, the lights came back on and the mood quickly changed to a pleasant surprise when the staff members walked in with cake and stated to the actors, “You did well“. All the actors were dumbfounded, but Gyuri especially sank down to the ground and burst into tears.
It was Gyuri’s first project in the leading role, and she had a special fondness for the drama in her heart. When she couldn’t stop crying, Jeon Ji Hoo, Song Jae Rim, and Thunder all tried their best to console her.
She’d expressed her sadness and gratitude at the final filming of the drama over her Twitter recently. The drama will begin airing on May 3 through MBC Queen and MBC Dramanet!
