Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung, Lee Jong Hyuk, and Lee Chun Hee cast in tvN’s ‘Dating Agency’
Girls’ Generation‘s Sooyoung, Lee Jong Hyuk, and Lee Chun Hee will be starring in the upcoming tvN drama ‘Dating Agency‘.
‘Dating Agency’ will be based on the hit movie ‘Cyrano: Dating Agency‘. Lee Jong Hyuk will play the role of the leader of the agency, Sooyoung will mesmerize with her beauty as a female member of the agency who will help aid those in love, and Lee Chun Hee will play the role of an outsider who will most likely get tangled in a love line.
‘Dating Agency’ will be produced by the same production company that have released the ‘Flower Boy’ drama series: ‘Flower Boy Ramen Shop‘, ‘Shut Up Flower Boy Band‘, and ‘Flower Boy Next Door‘, so it was expected that this might continue on with the same theme. However, ‘Dating Agency’ will not be continuing on with the ‘flower boy’ concept according to a rep, who revealed, “You can look forward to a different production from the original ‘Flower Boy’ series through ‘Cyrano Dating Agency’.”
‘Dating Agency’ will premiere following ‘Nine’ this May!

versi filemnya, lakonan mantap Lee Min Jung telah menyebabkan beliau swept out kesemua best new actress awards yg ditawarkan termasuk daejong & blue dragon awards...filem Cyrano Agency boleh dikatakan one of the best romantic film produced on tht year...
mampukah So Young/Lee Chun Hee menandingi kehebatan Park Shin Hye/Lee Min Jung dlm versi drama?
jika dilihat dr lakonan So Young dlm drama medical lps, she proved tht she is much much better thn Yoona & other SNSD members in term of acting skills (baru debut je pun)...we will see wht this drama will offer...

[STORYLINES]
Lovelorn Kim Hyeon-gon (Song Sae-byeok), who has fallen for coffee shop worker Seon-ah (Ryu Hyun-kyung), learns about Cyrano Agency, a small organization set up by theatre actor Lee Byeong-hoon (Uhm Tae-woong) that claims 100% success in making people fall in love. Kim signs on, and the Cyrano team — Byeong-hoon's onetime drama student Min-yeong (Park Shin-hye), plus older Cheol-bin (Park Cheol-min) and younger Jae-pil (Jeon Ah-min) — set to work, constructing elaborate scenarios in which Seon-ah is the unwitting target and feeding lines to Hyeon-gon through an earpiece. The operation is a success, but Cyrano Agency needs more clients as its finances are perilous. Their next client is fund manager Lee Sang-yong (Choi Daniel), who has fallen for Kim Hee-joong (Lee Min-jung), a young woman he met at church. Byeong-hoon is not keen on taking the case, as it turns out that Hee-joong is an ex-girlfriend of his. Unwillingly he agrees, and things initially go smoothly between Sang-yong and Hee-joong; but then Byeong-hoon's personal feelings start to get in the way of business.

The flower boys join tvN’s Dating Agency: Cyrano

Casting news is rolling in for tvN’s new romantic comedy series Dating Agency: Cyrano, which is based on the film starring Uhm Tae-woong as the matchmaker-turned-romantic-target and which has inexplicably shuffled around the words in its title but made no more sense of them. Is this their one concession toward reminding us that it’s the same story, but different?
The show has already cast Lee Jong-hyuk in the lead role (in the character Uhm played), while Girls Generation idol Sooyoung is in the Park Shin-hye role as one of the dating agency’s employees. Lee Chun-hee was also part of the last round of casting, playing a character new to the storyline.
Joining them are two adorable boys here to fulfill our Flower Boy quotient (it IS tvN):Hong Jong-hyun, my favoritest nerdy Vampire Idol (also of Jeon Woo-chi and White Christmas), and rookie actor Jo Yoon-woo, who was hilarious and sweet as the maternal flower boy Hyun-woo from the Ramyun Shop edition. I absolutely loved his character there, totally unruffled as he knitted his buddies scarves and cooked for them.
Hong Jong-hyun’s character is recruited into the dating agency because of his (wait for it) genius engineering skills. But don’t groan just yet, because this boy makes genius hilarious. It’s why his uber-nerd scientist vampire character was so droll with his deadpan delivery, and why I then always saw him as the alien vamp even in sageuk as he played the principled officer in Jeon Woo-chi. He’ll be the brains behind all hi-tech gadgets used by the agency (which they need when they’re out in the field orchestrating scenarios to help the lovelorn client best impress their romantic interest). So he’s the Marshall.
Jo Yoon-woo plays a 19-year-old high schooler (he’s 21 in real life) who dreams of becoming a theater actor. Acting skills makes him a natural choice for the agency, since their elaborate scenarios often depend on pre-planned theatrics.
The drama is part of the Oh Boy project that brought us the earlier Flower Boy series, and will follow tvN’s current Monday-Tuesday drama Nine. It premieres in May.

“Dating Agency: Cyrano” Trailer and Character Stills Released crystalcove May 22, 2013 6 Comments
The upcoming tvN drama “Dating Agency: Cyrano” has released its trailer and character stills.
“Dating Agency: Cyrano” stars Girl’s Generation‘s Sooyoung, Lee Jong Hyuk, Lee Chun Hee, Hong Jong Hyun, and Jo Yoon Woo. The drama will be about the lives and events of the people involved in the dating agency called “Cyrano,” which was originally a theater troupe that evolved to help awkward clients win over their loved ones through elaborate set-ups. Lee Jong Hyuk will play the leader of the Cyrano dating agency, Seo Byung Hoon, while Sooyoung will take on the role of Gong Min Young, an acts-before-thinking romantic working at the dating agency. Lee Chun Hee plays a mysterious chef of the restaurant next door to the agency who gets caught in the middle of Lee Jong Hyuk and Sooyoung’s relationship. Hong Jong Hyun will play the role of Moo Jin, the genius engineer. Jo Yoon Woo plays the role of Arang who is in charge of costumes in the dating agency.
“Dating Agency: Cyrano” premiers May 27 on tvN.

SHINee’s Taemin, Lee Yoon Ji, and Others to Cameo in “Dating Agency: Cyrano” crystalcove May 22, 2013 No Comments
The upcoming tvN drama “Dating Agency: Cyrano,” starring Girl’s Generation‘s Sooyoung, Lee Jong Hyuk, and Lee Chun Hee, will be premiering this coming Monday and anticipation is high for the interesting storyline. The drama will be about the lives and events of the people involved in the dating agency called “Cyrano,” which was originally a theater troupe that evolved to help awkward clients win over their loved ones through elaborate set-ups. This type of drama structure is ripe for star-studded cameo lineups and tvN has announced that SHINee‘s Taemin, Lee Yoon Ji, Ji Jin Hee, Choi Won Young, Lee Chang Ah, and Lim Hyung Joon will be making guest appearances in the drama.
