B'z guitarist Tak Matsumoto wins Grammy for Best Pop Instrumental Album

At the 53rd Grammy Awards held in Los Angeles on Sunday night, B'z member Tak Matsumoto earned the prize for Best Pop Instrumental Album, together with American guitarist Larry Carlton. The pair were chosen from the five nominees for their collaborative album "Take Your Pick," which was released worldwide last June.

It was also announced that pianist Mitsuko Uchida won in the category of Best Instrumental Soloist Performance (with Orchestra) for her performance of Mozart's Piano Concertos Nos. 23 & 24 with The Cleveland Orchestra.

Kitaro, who has won a Grammy before, was nominated for Best New Age Album, but he lost in the end to Paul Winter Consort.

bukak umah nih sbb mase mula2 pembentukan ALM nih, Ace ader suh buh HUGE news kat main board. so this time ada 2 wakil asia dpt menang Grammy, setelah pencalonan final 5 Oscar dinafikan... akhirnya dpt balas dendam kat muzik punyer department wlau agak makan hati kat layar perak punyer department.

btw... klu takat top the oricon chart tuh atau menang mutizens atau top gaon/hanteo charts tuh takyah bukak kat main board. oricon dh ader thread dier sendiri. hanya the real prestigious atau HUGE news jer bleh. klu ader org meninggal pun bleh.

Once again... congrats to Tak-san and Mitsuko-san, real Asia prides with amazing, genuine talents. You guys deserve the awards more than anything.
