Synopsis
In 1987, Im Soo Ho (Jung Hae In) and Eun Young Ro (Ji Soo) are students at a prestigious university in Seoul. Im Soo Ho, who grew up in Germany, has a gentle charm but gives off an air of secrecy. Eun Young Ro, who is lively, lovable, and cheerful, fell in love with him at first sight at a social gathering. One day, Soo Ho suddenly rushes into a female dormitory covered in blood, and Eun Young Ro hides him and tends to his wounds despite facing danger under close surveillance.
Among those monitoring, Soo Ho and Young Ro must avoid Pi Seung Hee (Yoon Se Ah), the notoriously strict and imposing housemother of Young Ro's dorm, and Kye Boon Ok (Kim Hye Yoon), a phone operator at the dorm who had to forgo a college education due to her family’s financial circumstances.
Lee Kang Moo (Jang Seung Jo) is the relentless head of Team 1 of the National Intelligence Service (NIS) and always insists on doing everything by the book. By contrast, NIS agent Jang Han Na is impulsive, hot-tempered, and passionate about her job.
Kang Chung Ya (Yoo In Na) is a beautiful and talented surgeon at a state-run hospital who can charm anyone in a split second. Although her skills in the operating room have earned her a solid reputation as a dependable surgeon, Dr. Kang is mysterious and appears to be hiding something.

This is JTBC’s statement regarding controversy about the drama “Snowdrop.”
Following the broadcast of “Snowdrop,” controversy is not dying down based on false information, so we are releasing a statement.
First of all, the background and motif for important incidents in “Snowdrop” are the time of military regime. With this background, it contains a fictional story of the party in power colluding with the North Korean government in order to maintain authority. “Snowdrop” is a creative work that shows the personal stories of individuals who were used and victimized by those in power.
There is no spy who leads the democratization movement in “Snowdrop.” The male and female leads were not shown as participating in or leading the democratization movement in episodes 1 and 2, and they do not do so in any part of the future script.
Most of the misunderstandings regarding concerns of “history distortion” and “disparaging the democratization movement” criticized by many people will be settled through the progress of the drama’s plot. The drama includes the production team’s intent of hoping for no repetition of an abnormal era in which individual freedom and happiness are oppressed by unjust power.
Although we unfortunately cannot reveal much of the plot ahead of each episode, we ask that you watch over the future progress of the plot.

Iols dah try tgk 1 episod…tak tau nak kata suka ke x…iols rasa yg buat dia jadi boring tu sebab terlalu byk watak yg kita sebagai org luar memang tak familiar dgn watak2 ni semua…walaupun diorg kata citer ni fiksyen semata2 but still it is based on true events cuma event sebenar berlaku tahun 1980 tapi dlm citer ni dia buat tahun 1987…kalau just based on episode 1, iols rasa youth of may give better impression to me…tapi tgk dulu camna since jtbc nak tayang 3 episod utk minggu ni to clear the confusion pasal watak yg jung hae in bawak ni…tapi koreans dah marah siap buat petition suruh tutup jtbc…
