Turkey threatens action : Israel on alert
New Delhi : Turkey has threatened Israel with unprecedented action after Israeli forces attacked an aid vessel, killing 10 peace activists headed to Gaza.
Israel said 10 people died while those on the ship said at least 15 were killed.
A shocked world has responded with outrage. Turkey recalled its ambassador to Israel and warned of unprecedented and incalculable reprisals.
Two Turkish activists were reported to be among those killed in the flotilla. Ankara warned that further supply vessels will be sent to Gaza, escorted by the Turkish Navy, a development with unpredictable consequences.
Israel has sounded an alert throughout the country fearing rocket attacks by Hezbollah in Lebanon.
The Arab League has called an urgent meeting on Tuesday to decide on a common response. Egypt is under pressure to end the blockade of Gaza while Greece has cancelled a military exercise with Isreal.
The world is waiting for the response from Washington, how will President Obama react to the provocation

Mer-c trying to get comprehensive info on incident with Israel

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesia`s Medical Emergency Rescue Committee (Mer-C) is trying to collect comprehensive information on the reported shooting of volunteers aboard the "MV Mavi Marmara", a ship carrying humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, by Israeli forces, a Mer-C source said.
"We are doing our best to get more information on the attack by Israeli Zionist forces ," Ari Nursyamsi, a Mer-C official said in Jakarta on Monday.
According to initial reports, at least three people were killed and more than 30 others injured when Israeli forces boarded the ship in the Freedom Flotilla which was approaching Gaza early Monday.
Nursyamsi said the last contact with Mer-C volunteers aboard the MV Mavi Marmara was on Sunday (May 30), moments before the ship set sail for Gaza.
Indonesia`s Mer-C was keeping in touch with Insani Yardim Fakvi (IHH), a Turkish humanitarian institution coordinating the Freedom Flotilla, which was trying to break through the Israeli blockade of Gaza, Palestine, to deliver humanitarian aid to the region`s people. .
Mer-C had had sent four volunteers to join the flotilla, namely Nurfitri Taher (Upi), a Mer-C project officer, Arief Rahman, a medical doctor, Nur Ikhwan Abadi,a mechanic, and Abdillah Onim, a non-medical worker. In Gaza, they would also carry out certain assignments related to Indonesia`s plan to build a hospital in Gaza. A TVOne reporter was also with Mer-C group in the flotilla.
Besides, Mer-C, other Indonesian NGOs that had sent volunteers to join the humanitarian mission to Gaza are KISPA (Indonesian Committee for Palestinian Solidarity) and "Friends of Al-Aqsa".
Meanwhile, AFP reported that Israel`s military censor on Monday blocked the reporting of any information about casualties being transferred to Israeli hospitals after the navy stormed a fleet of aid ships destined for the Gaza Strip.
Israel radio said the censor was referring to any casualties brought to Israel for treatment.
Israeli radio and television reports said at least 10 people had been killed in the clashes and an unknown number of people were injured, according to AFP.

now satu dunia dah condemn, like i said, untuk buat statement against Israel kira dah berjaya lah convoy tu. Tapi matlamat nak tolong orang Palestine memang awal2 lagi dah hancus.harap barang2 bantuan tu tak rosak,boleh simpan in future...or give to Palestinians somewhere else.
pasal statement condemn tu...sejak penubuhan Israel tahun 1940an dah macam2 statement condemn atas pelbagai sebab. Israel dah lali dah benda2 cam ni. apa la sangat bunuh 16 orang, Israel dah 3 kali perang besar dengan all border neighbours serentak. |

kalau turki hantaq kapal navy utk escort konvoi, pastuh kena bedil ngan jehud, akan bermulakah igauan ngeri buat negeri jehud lahanat? bolehkah turki yg sememangnya memiliki angkatan tentera yg canggih mengajar jehud agar menjadi bangsa yg hina dan sengsara? |
