"Dance Floor Anthem" or sometimes named "Dance Floor Anthem (I Dont Wanna Be in Love)" is a song by Good Charlotte off their fourth album, Good Morning Revival. It is the second single from the Good Morning Revival album in North America and most likely will be the third single in the rest of the world. On the band's episodes of GCTV,in which the band uploads a video to their website of behind the scenesin the recording studio, photo shoots, etc., feature different songsfrom the Good Morning Revival album playing in the background.On March 15, 2007, the fourth episode was released on Good Charlotte'swebsite. "Dance Floor Anthem" was featured in the video.
On the June 5th episode of TRL, Joel Madden claimed the song was about the experience of his previous relationship, which most likely would have been referring to Hilary Duff.

Music videoThe music video was directed by Sean Michael Turrell.It shows the band in a hospital with a Good Morning Revival album covercolored themed hallway. Throughout the video Joel Madden is seen with a"girlfriend" in which the couple has a good relationship at thebeginning of the video shown by a heart rate monitormoving steadily. By the middle of the video the couple starts arguingand the line on the heart rate monitor goes flat. Near the ending the"girlfriend" leaves and Joel Madden is left alone, though the linestarts moving again showing that he can go on without her and still befine. Also throughout the video, the hospital hallway turns into adance club where you can see flashes of x-rays of the dancers. Thevideo was released May 10 and premiered on MuchMusic's MuchOnDemand on May 16th, 2007.

Trivia

"Dance Floor Anthem" is the third 'anthem' that Good Charlotte has made. The first was "East Coast Anthem" from their self-titled debut album, and the second was "The Anthem" from their The Young and the Hopeless album.
