Hi Rizal... glad to have u lepak here. can invite some more frenz to lepak here oso and have review regarding local band. Very nice touch there. How's everyone? Well, mun ada masa kelak dpt meet you guys and exchange ideas regarding local scene music. Yeah. Finally! Thread tok dibuka khusus untuk penggiat seni di sarawak. Apa2 yang kegiatan seni yang berlangsung just masok ajak di thread tok. Only discussions allowed. Borak melelat merapu akan didelete oleh Puan Mod. Deal? ok.. meh kita mulakan dengan band pertama. THE DRIVES. |

The Drives
The Drives are :
Rizal ( vox + guitar )
Ricky ( Bass )
Bobby ( Drum )
The Drives:
The Drives was formed in 2003. Before using the name The Drives the band use the name The Bandwagons. It started when Rizal and Ricky decided to form a band after a long absentees in the underground scene in Kuching. Rizal was then with the band call Radish Fan and Ricky was ex-Nice Stupid Playground Guitarist. The two have known each other for a long time when both of them were very active in the underground scene in Kuching.
After having a material to play they decided to recruit Nellfee from Radish Fan and Bobby from Groovers Lump. They started to jamm and produce few songs and manage to record it as their first demo. Rizal take on the role as the vocalist & guitar, Nellfee on lead guitar, Bobby on drum, and Ricky on bass. But to their disappointment the demo never been released as it does not what they wanted it to be. The demo was a failure.
After a short period of time Nellfee decided to join Nice Stupid Playground. That leave behind Rizal, Ricky and Bobby to continue the band. At this time that they decided to change the band name to The Drives. The departure of Nellfee has given the opportunity for the guys to change the direction of their music but still maintain the Brit sounds. They call their music as Rock n roll Noise with blended of Brit sound or in a simple way Brit Rock. They immediately goes to studio and record their songs at Streamline Studio own by Morgan Grimsam. There they recorded 7 songs. The songs are much different from first demo. In this second demo much of experimental has been done to make the songs more suitable to their tastes. All the songs are written by Rizal. It was produce by Morgan and the title of the demo is 'Waiting For You'. For now The Drives are waiting for anybody to invite them to play in gigs. evenstarr yang terdiri daripada Silas, Gary, Clement, Jaynsen dan Sam (sessionist drummer) mengetengahkan stail muzik rock moden yang bertenaga serta 'riff-riff' yang 'catchy' dan lirik lagu yang memberi makna yang mendalam.

teringin nak nangga teater koh, ari ya ada teater perkampungan orang gila tapi xpat nangga psl keja jap
nak teater rentap nak gawai ya pon xpat nangga, ada sorang kwn join rentap ya

Yalah, ada invitation for the teater, tapi sekda masa mok nangga. lgpun aku sorang jak suka teater,kwn2 ku sik minat. apalah nasib badan.... |
