KUALA LUMPUR: Pakatan Harapan will sign a Coalition Agreement that will bind PKR, DAP and Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) during its inaugural leadership conference this Saturday.
PKR president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail said the negotiation and discussion to finalise the agreement began mid October last year, after the launch of Pakatan Harapan.
"The decision to formalise the coalition through the coalition agreement stems from our desire to offer the people a stronger and sustainable coalition that can do justice.
"While Pakatan Harapan's framework on major policies are well-known by the people, we feel that there must be clarity of intention that binds the three parties," she told reporters at a press conference at Wisma Amanah here, today.
Dr Wan Azizah said the clarity of intention would form the foundation of principle that governed the parties' agreement on common policies.
She said all three parties had concurred to the contents of the agreement and that there would be no room for disputes.
Also present at the press conference were DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang and Amanah president Mohammad Sabu.
Mohammad, also known as Mat Sabu, said there was no discussion on Pas' involvement in the coalition agreement.
"We only discussed about the three parties in Pakatan Harapan," he said.
