Captured on camera: Incredible moment lightning hits plane mid-flight while passing through a rainbow.





Have you ever wondered what happens when a plane gets hit by lightning?

Well, this is the moment one Boeing 777 was struck by lightning while flying over Germany.

And perhaps even more incredibly, it happened while it passed through a rainbow.

German photographer Birk Möbius caught this stunning image at an Aerodrome in Taucha in East Germany.

Being metal and passing through clouds (and rainbows) naturally makes planes vulnerable to lightning strike.

However, when a plane gets hit passengers are unlikely to even notice, according to research.

According to the Scientific American these events are very common with each plane in the US commercial fleet experiencing a lightning strike at least once a year.

Of course – that moment being captured on camera is pretty unique.

have to say he's much more solid and hefty compared to heavy noisy, but apparently, as some people have pointed out, he's missing his comic and the shoulder piece for the shoulder cannon attachment option.. i hope warbotron replaces these things.. other than that, he really feels like he's worth more than heavy noisy.. very solid with tight joints, fantastic articulation (his ankle joints are insane!)
