Jaclyn Victor is ready for her close-up in Los Angeles.
The vocal powerhouse and former Malaysian Idol winner is set to promote her music in Tinseltown.
A decade after being crowned the first Malaysian Idol, Jaclyn Victor is now ready to take the big leap.
The 35-year-old vocal powerhouse who is best known for her Idol coronation song, Gemilang, is heading to Los Angeles, California, to introduce her latest English single.
The week-long tour, which begins tomorrow, will see Jaclyn promoting Remedy, an uptempo track composed and written by KRU’s Edry and Yusry Abdul Halim respectively, through a series of live performances and media interviews.
According to a press statement released by KRU Music, the release of Remedy “will bring a new dimension to Jaclyn’s musical direction. With a fusion of mainstream pop melody and lyrics, an R&B style of vocal delivery, coupled with an EDM (electronic dance music) music arrangement, Remedy has all the elements of a hit single and a comprehensive plan has been devised by KRU Music to break the single internationally.”

To follow up, a five-track EP, Unleashed, is slated to be released in September. Produced by Edry, the album features four other tracks – Pinnacle, Sweeter Than A Dream, Over And Over and Delirious.
The album was fully recorded in Kuala Lumpur, and mixed and mastered in Los Angeles.
