PT Pindad (Persero) melaksanakan uji tembak (firing test) produk First Article Medium Tank Harimau pada 24 - 25 Februari 2022 di Pusat Pendidikan Infanteri (Pusdikif) TNI AD Cipatat, Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Kegiatan uji tembak merupakan salah satu rangkaian dari Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) produk Medium Tank Harimau.
Tujuan kegiatan uji tembak dilaksanakan untuk mengetahui dan memastikan kemampuan turret dengan kanon 105mm dalam kondisi baik, memenuhi persyaratan dan spesifikasi desain terbaru yang mendapatkan berbagai peningkatan.
Kegiatan uji tembak dihadiri oleh Plt. Kabid Matra Darat Pus Alpalhan Baranahan Kemhan, Kolonel Yudha Adillah selaku ketua tim Factory Acceptance Test Medium Tank Harimau, Kasubdit Siapsat dan Alutsista Pussenkav, Kolonel Beni Nugroho beserta jajaran. Hadir pula dalam kegiatan uji tembak adalah Direktur Teknologi & Pengembangan PT Pindad (Persero), Sigit Santosa, Vice President Penjaminan Mutu & K3LH, Prima Kharisma beserta jajaran VP & GM.

Indonesian Harimau Tiger Medium Tank successfully passes firing acceptance test.

According to Defense Studies, PT Pindad (Persero) carried out a firing test for the First Article Medium Tank Harimau (Tiger) product on February 24-25, 2022 at the Infantry Education Center (Pusdikif) of the TNI AD Cipatat, West Bandung Regency.
The shooting test activity is one of a series of Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) for the Harimau/Tiger Medium Tank. The purpose of the firing test activity was to determine and ensure the operation of the turret with a 105mm cannon, meeting the requirements and the latest design specifications that received various improvements.
The Tiger Medium Tank is one of the government's 7 strategic development programs to increase the capability of the Defense Industry BUMN in building technological mastery towards the independence of domestic defense equipment. In collaboration with the Turkish company FNSS, Pindad has gained knowledge, experience, and references to international standards regarding tank development.
Previously, the Tiger Medium Tank underwent a series of Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) which were carried out at Turkey's FNSS test facility on August 8-14, 2021. The series of tests carried out included 60% incline obstacle test, trench crossing test, braking test, 30% incline cross test, turning radius test, fording test, and various other tests. After undergoing various series of FAT tests at the Turkish FNSS factory (which calls this tank Kaplan in the Turkish language), the Tiger Medium Tank underwent further tests in Indonesia and focused on the firing test of the 105 mm cannon.
The firing test was carried out with a static Tiger Medium Tank position and a static target of 1,250 meters measuring 4x4 meters, using HEP-T (High Explosive Plastic-Tracer) rounds, and TPCSDS-T (Target Practice Cone Stabilized Discarding Sabot with Tracer) rounds. The first session was a visual test of the 105 mm turret to ensure that the integration and configuration of the latest design of the Tiger Medium Tank met the requirements and specifications. Testing is done by checking the working principle, barrel, aiming tool, features, movement until the buttons are functioning properly.
The second session was a test firing with the 105 mm cannon. PT Pindad (Persero)'s Industrial Quality 2 Manager, Suparno, acted as the Chief Executor of the Shooting Test Activity, giving the signal to shoot. The test began with shooting in a front-facing position, then proceeds to the right, left, and ends rearward. Each shooting position was tested using 1 bullet. The results of the firing test were that the Tiger Medium Tank successfully shot on target with the turret remained stable and all turret functions worked properly, according to the requirements.
Uji Coba Pandur 8x8 Pesanan Kemhan RI di Ceko Saat Musim Dingin
Jika kita membuka situs Excalibur Army dalam media sosialnya khususnya pada tayangan
tanggal 6 Desember 2021 lalu maka kita dapat melihat uji coba kendaraan Pandur II 8x8 pesanan Indonesia yang dilakukan pada musim dingin di Ceko.
Pada bulan April 2019 lalu Kementerian Pertahanan telah melakukan penanda-tanganan pesanan senilai 80 juta dollar untuk kendaraan 8x8 buatan Excalibur Army - CzechoSlovak Group (CSG) sebanyak 22 unit jenis Pandur II dengan persenjataan kanon kaliber 30mm Ares UT-30 Mk II. Adapun kendaraan Pandur II 8x8 ini akan dipergunakan oleh Batalyon Infantri Mekanis (Yonifmek) TNI AD.
Nama CSG dan kendaraan Pandur 8x8 bukan sesuatu yang baru bagi TNI AD dimana sebelumnya pada tahun 2017 telah dilakukan pesanan sebanyak 16 unit M3 amphibious pontoon bridge bersama 4 kendaraan tempur Pandur 8x8 untuk digunakan Batalyon Zeni Tempur Kostrad dan kini ranpur tersebut telah berdatangan.
Di Ceko kendaraan ini diuji untuk melewati medan yang bersalju dan kemampuan amfibi kendaraan ini ketika menyeberangi danau, uji coba dilakukan bersama personel TNI AD.
Belum jelas kapan kendaraan tempur 8x8 ini akan diserah-terimakan dan berapa unit jumlahnya. Namun penanda-tanganan license agreement antara Pindad dan CSG pada tanggal 22 Februari 2022 lalu menandakan bahwa kendaraan tempur ini selanjutnya akan diteruskan produksinya oleh PT Pindad.

Indonesian Air Force readies pilots to fly Rafale fighter jets
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Air Force Chief of Staff Marshal Fadjar Prasetyo is preparing special pilots to fly the 4.5 generation Dassault Rafale fighter jets that Indonesia had bought from France.
"We have prepared several pilots, but we have not determined the number. However, we have readied the criteria and those who are eligible to fly the Rafale," Prasetyo remarked after the 2022 Indonesian Air Force Leadership Meeting at the Air Force Headquarters in Cilangkap, East Jakarta, Friday.
Prasetyo remarked that the fighter pilots will receive training in France and Indonesia before being assigned to the existing squadron.
However, he noted that the new placement for the jet unit was not easy since several requirements had to be met.
"This is because placing air units is quite complex. There are several requirements that must be met," he pointed out.
Earlier, Defense Minister Prabowo Sugianto signed a cooperation contract for the purchase of six French-made 4.5 generation Dassault Rafale fighter aircraft.
Subianto announced the purchase after receiving an honorary visit from the Minister of the Armed Forces of the French Republic Florence Parly at the Ministry of Defense Office in Jakarta, February 10.
Subianto affirmed that Indonesia will make a significant purchase of the Military Armament System (alutsista) for multirole combat aircraft by acquiring 42 Rafale aircraft.
"We start today by signing the first contract for six planes," Prabowo remarked.
Furthermore, it will be followed by a contract for 36 more aircraft, with support for training in the required weapons and simulators, he noted.
In addition to purchase of the aircraft, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was inked between Dassault and PT Dirgantara Indonesia under which it was agreed to maintain and repair French aircraft in Indonesia.
The Dassault Rafale is an all-role fighter or omnirole fighter that has been operated by France since 2004. Until 2018, France had operated at least 132 Rafale aircraft for the Air Force and 48 units for the French Navy.
Several other countries are also keen to use the Rafale as their fighter aircraft, including Egypt by having 24 units; Qatar, 36 units; and India, 36 units.
The aircraft also regularly participate in multinational drillings, such as Red Flag, ATLC, Tiger Meet, Maple Flag, Arctic Challenge, Pitch Black, and Bold Quest.
With a wingspan of 10.9 meters, length of 15.3 meters, and height of 5.3 meters, the Rafale uses a twin turbofan engine coded M88 that is claimed to achieve a maximum speed of 1,389 km per hour, with an operating altitude of 50 thousand feet.

Batam - Markas TNI AL membangun Kapal Patroli Cepat PC 60 yang akan digunakan Armada 1 dalam menjaga kedaulatan perairan NKRI terutama Wilayah Barat. Sebagai tanda awal pembangunan kapal patroli tersebut, Wakil Kepala Staf TNI AL (Wakasal) Laksamana Madya TNI Ahmad Heri Purwanto melaksanakan first stell cutting dan peletakan lunas (keel laying) di PT Karimun Anugrah Sejati, Tanjung Uncang, Batam, Kepulauan Riau, Jumat (4/3/2022).
"Tahun ini kita pesan lima, satu dibangun di Batam, dua di Banten dan dua unit lagi masih menunggu tempat pembangunanya. Mudah-mudahan yang dua itu segera diputuskan,” ujar Wakasal di sela-sela peninjauan rangka kapal PC 60.
Tujuan pembangunan kapal ini, lanjut Heri, sebagai langkah nyata dari TNI AL mewujudkan kemandirian bangsa Indonesia dalam membangun alutsista, khususnya kapal PC 60.
"Kapal PC merupakan salah satu unsur penting dalam armada TNI AL. Kemampuan kapal PC, merupakan hal yang signifikan, tidak hanya bagi TNI AL saja, namun memiliki implikasi strategis postur pertahanan negara secara keseluruahan,” ujar Heri.
Di sisi lain, lanjut Heri, pembangunan kapal PC 60 ini bisa berdampak terhadap pergerakan ekonomi. Karena perusahaan yang mendapat proyek pembangunan kapal senilai Rp200 miliar tersebut akan menyerap tenaga kerja.
Ini kan masa pandemi banyak pekerja yang dirumahkan karena sepi proyek. Harapan kita dengan banyaknya proyek pekerjaan seperti ini, kan tentunya berdampak pada ekonomi kita, bisa bekerja, dapat penghasilan,” harap Heri.
Proses produksi kapal PC 60 dengan kontrak 28 Oktober 2021 (multi years 2021, 2022, 2023), ditargetkan akan rampung pada Mei 2023. Pengiriman direncanakan pada Agustus 2023, dengan spesifikasi: main dimension 60 x 8.50 x 2.6 meter, kecepatan 24 knot, cruising speed 15 knot, dan daya tampung kru sebanyak 50 orang. Kapal Patroli TNI AL PC 60 akan dipersenjatai meriam dan akan beroperasi di peraian Selat Malaka.

France and Indonesia sign MOU for medium and large calibre munitions

France's Nexter Munitions and Mecar (both subsidiaries of Nexter Group) and Indonesia's PT Pindad signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) related to Medium Calibre Munitions and Large Calibre Munitions.
According to a press statement by PT Pindad, the MOU covers collaboration on Medium Calibre Munition and Large Calibre Munition products such as 120 mm munitions for main battle tanks (MBTs), 105 mm shells for the Harimau medium tank, 20 mm bullets for the Vector GI-2 automatic canon, and 30 mm ammunition for the Rafale multirole combat aircraft.
