JAKARTA, KOMPAS - Kontrak pembelian pesawat angkut multi-peran Airbus A400M oleh Pemerintah Indonesia akan berlaku efektif pada November 2022. Saat ini, Airbus telah mengamankan lini produksi dua unit A400M yang dipesan pemerintah Indonesia.
Pemerintah Indonesia telah menandatangani kontrak pembelian dua pesawat angkut Airbus A400M pada Dubai Airshow 2021 yang akan berlaku efektif pada 2021. Kedua unit pesawat tersebut akan dioperasikan oleh TNI AU. Dalam kesempatan itu, pemerintah Indonesia juga menandatangani letter of intent (LoI) untuk pembelian 4 unit A400M ke depan.

Indo Defence 2022: Indonesia prepares to cut steel on first ‘Red White' frigate

Indonesian state-owned shipbuilder PT PAL is preparing to start work on the country's first Iver Huitfeldt-class frigate and will hold a steel-cutting ceremony for the ship in November 2022, the company has confirmed.
Speaking to Janes at the Indo Defence 2022 exhibition in Jakarta, CEO of PT PAL Kaharuddin Djenod said that the project has been branded as the ‘Red White' frigate programme after the colours of the Indonesian flag to reflect the vessels' status as locally built warships.
The Indonesian Ministry of Defense (MoD) signed a preamble contract for a variant of the Iver Huitfeldt frigate with PT PAL in April 2020.
However, the two-ship contract only became effective from 24 May 2021. Following this, UK defence group Babcock announced in September 2021 that it has signed a licence agreement to provide PT PAL with the Arrowhead 140 design for the two ships.
In turn, Babcock's Arrowhead 140 design is based on the Royal Danish Navy's three-ship Iver Huitfeldt class, which were commissioned between January and November 2011.
In an interview with Janes at Indo Defence 2022, Kaharuddin denied that there have been major delays to the programme. “Between the time that the contract became effective and the present day, PT PAL engineers worked with representatives from the MoD and the navy to fine-tune the Arrowhead 140 design according to the user's requirements,” Kaharuddin said.

TNI AU kerahkan enam pilot untuk latihan Rafale di Prancis
Pilot TNI AU Akan Latihan Dengan Rafale selama 3 Bulan Di France
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Angkatan Udara Indonesia (TNI AU) telah memberangkatkan enam pilot ke Prancis untuk mengikuti sesi pelatihan pengoperasian jet tempur Dassault Rafale generasi 4,5 yang dibeli oleh Indonesia.
"Kami sudah memberangkatkan enam pilot dan delapan teknisi ke Prancis untuk mengikuti pelatihan tersebut," kata Kepala Staf TNI AU Marsekal Fadjar Prasetyo di sela-sela seminar TNI Angkatan Udara di Jakarta, Selasa.
Dia mengatakan bahwa pilot dan insinyur akan menghabiskan tiga bulan di Prancis untuk sesi pelatihan.
"Tidak akan lama. Mereka hanya akan menghabiskan tiga bulan (di Prancis)," kata Prasetyo.
Sebelumnya, pada Februari lalu, Menteri Pertahanan Prabowo Sugianto telah menandatangani kontrak kerja sama pembelian enam pesawat tempur Dassault Rafale generasi 4,5 buatan Prancis.
Prabowo menegaskan Indonesia akan melakukan pembelian Alutsista secara signifikan untuk pesawat tempur multirole dengan mengakuisisi 42 pesawat Rafale.
"Kita mulai hari ini dengan penandatanganan kontrak pertama enam pesawat," kata Prabowo, Kamis (10 Februari).
Selanjutnya akan disusul dengan kontrak 36 pesawat lagi, dengan dukungan pelatihan persenjataan dan simulator yang dibutuhkan, ujarnya.

Rheinmetall Menawarkan Produksi Lokal Sistem GBAD Skyranger untuk Indonesia
Rheinmetall Air Defense AG telah mengindikasikan bahwa ia akan dapat memproduksi unit sistem mobile ground-based air defence (GBAD) Oerlikon Skyranger di dalam negeri jika dipilih untuk kebutuhan anti-udara angkatan bersenjata Indonesia.
Stefan Schadler dan Gerson Jaklin, yang masing-masing adalah wakil presiden Penjualan dan wakil presiden Pemasaran dan Penjualan, di Sistem Pertahanan Udara dan Radar Rheinmetall, mengkonfirmasi kepada Janes bahwa perusahaan telah menjalin kemitraan dengan perusahaan lokal PT OCWSB Pratama Indonesia.
Di bawah kemitraan tersebut, OCWSB telah ditunjuk sebagai mitra lokal resmi dari Rheinmetall Air Defence, dan diizinkan untuk melakukan pekerjaan pemeliharaan, perbaikan, dan overhaul pada berbagai sistem senjata yang telah dipasok oleh perusahaan ke Indonesia.

Leonardo Provides Latest-Generation Marlin 40 Naval Defence System to Indonesia
The Independent Line of Sight (ILOS) variant of the 40mm turret will equip the Indonesian Navy’s PC60 fast patrol boats and Tank Landing Ship vessels
Leonardo's Marlin 40 naval remote weapon system has been selected to equip two Indonesian Navy PC60 fast patrol boats currently under construction at PT Caputra Mitra Sejati shipyard. This follows the procurement in 2021 of four Marlin 40 systems for two PC60 vessels and two Teluk Bintuni-class tank landing ships (LSTs). Both PC60 and LST will be equipped with the Marlin 40 Independent Line of Sight (ILOS) variant, the most feature-rich version of the turret. Further PC60 and LST vessels are expected to be built by Indonesian shipyards for the Navy.
The Marlin 40 turret is a fully digitized system. It is lightweight, compact and easy to integrate. This means that the turret can be integrated onto all types of naval platforms as a primary or secondary defence system. Capable of anti-air and anti-surface defence, the Marlin 40 has a range of over four kilometres, is ITAR-free and can integrate with all currently-available naval Combat Management Systems (CMS).
The ILOS variant of Marlin 40 chosen by the Indonesian Navy is a highly-effective precision-fire system which can operate autonomously via a local control console. This brings together and processes the targeting data received from the turret’s own dedicated electro-optical system, external fire control systems and ship’s data, ensuring precision while incorporating a level of redundancy. The electro-optical director can rotate independently of the line of fire to deliver panoramic surveillance through a highly accurate sensor suite comprising a daylight camera, an InfraRed (IR) camera and a laser range finder.
This latest contract further develops Leonardo’s strong partnership with the Indonesian Navy, which has previously selected the company for its naval gunnery requirements. Today, 38 Indonesian vessels are operating Leonardo weapon systems. The Navy’s inventory includes Leonardo’s Marlin 30, Marlin 40 Twin Barrel and 76/62 SuperRapid. The latter is the best-selling medium-caliber naval gun mount available on the market, employed by 60 Navies and already installed on 15 Indonesian Navy vessels.
The Marlin 40 is the latest addition to Leonardo’s portfolio of naval defence systems and is in service with 30 naval forces worldwide. In addition to the ILOS variant, Marlin 40 is available as a 40mm Remotely-Controlled turret. Leonardo also offers the Marlin 30 in three variants: RC (Remotely-Controlled), COAX (Coaxial Electro-Optical Sensor Suite) and ILOS (Independent Line of Sight). The selection of Marlin 40 for the Indonesian Navy strengthens Leonardo’s presence in the Indo Pacific naval defence systems market.
