servis cepat.. tp spareparts.. mmmm.. so many refurbished, unknown condition...

last few weeks, got 1 machine speaker not functioning.. right speaker no sound..
the tech guy came in.. replace the speaker... boot up... no sound from the left speaker..
have to wait for the next round then only both works...
machine is brand new out of box.. now the speaker......... arghhh..

last week, another machine... screen turns red... all the time..
log a report.. 2 days later the guy came to replace the lcd...
now the prob is gone.. no more red screen.. but..................
got small horizontal lines....... so many but barely visible...

the day he came to fix the machine.. he also 'fixed' my machine.. which i log a report 2 days earlier..
mine got smal horizontal lines... plus flickering issue...
after he replace my lcd n mobo... got new prob.. my keyboard now became faulty...
have to wait for next delivery day to get replacement keyboard...

after few hours... suddenly got vertical line on my screen... intermittently..
also the flickering getting worst.. previously the screen became flicker after sleep/wakeup mode..
and should last no longer than 30 minutes... now it became more intense..
wont stop flickering till shut down the lappy n let it cool down...

next day replacement keyboard came in.. fixed it to the machine... tadaaaa.. still got few keys not working...
logged another report.. the phone support guy refused to admit they actually send me a faulty keyboard..
he tried to point the fault to another part - the palm rest..........
don't know how he came to tht conclusion.. already told him the said kb also got issue with other machine..

long story cut short.. the tech guy came back.. replace with another lcd, cover n mobo also the kb.... yesterday...
no longer keyboard issue.. but the flickering issue is still there.. just that its not as bad as before...
late evening the phone guy called me.. asking me to update to the latest bios and vga driver..
and bout half an hour ago.. called me again to confirm whether its done yet...
dunno what he's thinking... since already told him yesterday my machine already use latest driver n bios available...

these are few examples... actually got more since the past 1 year... just cant remember all the details..
last 2 years.. the service is good.. the parts you get most of the time is brand new... hardly get refurbished 1..
but all has changed now.. you'll hardly get brand new parts except for hdd...
and the service... sometimes you have 2 wait up to 1wk... if they said no available part for you.........
*1 of our staff got broken lcd... her fault so she has to pay on her own...
arranged with dell to get a quotation for her then let her deal with the dell rep afterwards..
payment was made to dell since december 2012... but... her lcd not yet replaced............. till yesterday.....


so, personally i will say, the service support engineer/ on site support is good.. but the part supplier is not..
different rating since they're from different company outsourced by dell..
