BANGKOK: A study shows that Thai men have a higher risk of developing Parkinson's disease due to increasing trends of genetic disorders and exposure to chemical substances, Thai News Agency (TNA) reported.
The study, conducted by Chulalongkorn and Maharaj Hospitals and Prince of Songkhla University, said 74.3 percent of patients with Parkinson's in the country suffer from sleeping disorders that affect their quality of life.
Researchers warned that the degenerative disorder is no longer found only among the elderly but also those in their mid-thirties. -- BERNAMA
