Plot
When Oscar Diggs (James Franco), a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz, he thinks he’s hit the jackpot—fame and fortune are his for the taking—that is until he meets three witches, Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz), and Glinda (Michelle Williams), who are not convinced he is the great wizard everyone’s been expecting. Reluctantly drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its inhabitants, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is too late. Putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity—and even a bit of wizardry—Oscar transforms himself not only into the great and powerful Wizard of Oz but into a better man as well.

"Oz: The Great And Powerful" ialah sebuah filem Disney yang diarah Sam Raimi. Filem ini berkisahkan asal-usul karakter ciptaan L. Frank Baum, 'Wizard of Oz'. Apabila Oscar Diggs (James Franco), seorang ahli silap mata sarkas dengan etika yang diragui, dilontar dari Kansas ke 'Land of Oz', dia berasa sungguh bertuah sekali. Tetapi dia bertemu dengan 3 orang ahli sihir perempuan, Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) dan Glinda (Michelle Williams) yang tidak percaya Oscar ialah ahli sihir terhebat. Oscar mula terlibat dengan masalah epik yang melanda 'Land of Oz' dan penghuninya. Oscar mesti menyiasat siapa mempunyai motif baik dan siapa mempunyai motif buruk sebelum kehabisan masa. Dia menggunakan ilmu silap matanya: ilusi, kepintaran dan juga sedikit ilmu sihir untuk mengubah diri sendiri kepada 'Wizard of Oz' yang berkuasa. Dia juga mengubah dirinya kepada seorang manusia yang lebih baik

bukan sebab James Franco, bukan sebab Milla Kunis, bukan sebab Rachel Weisz
tapi sebab scene dia lawa gila ... then genre magic, fantasy ...
lama tak tengok cerita macam nie ...
