EXPERIENCE AN ENCHANTING JOURNEY WITH IL VOLO

Once in a lifetime, the voices of angels make their way down to earth in the most innocent of forms, angelic in its beauty, and amazes the human spirit through today’s innovative yet timeless form of classical music meets opera.

Il Volo meaning “Flight” consists of 3 young talented boys by the name of Piero Barone (17 years old), Ignazio Boschetto(16 years old), and Gianluca Ginoble(16 years old), hailing from the beautiful land of Sicily, Italy. The band names signifies the feeling that these three young tenors were about to spread their wings and fly.

The group’s debut album of the same name features their first single “O Sole Mio” a highly popular Italian song which means Sunshine. The album is a stellar showcase for these three young singers’ astonishing vocal talent and interpretive gifts as they take on a range of new and traditional classically influenced pop songs with the vigor and grandeur of opera. The album produced by Humberto Gatica famous for his work with today’s legends in the music industry (Celine Dion,Michael Buble) helped to create the sound and feel of the album. Credit must be given to the group’s manager Michele Torpedine, the man who discovered and managed Andrea Bocelli for 16 years. He has taken on a fatherly role for the boys, with the guidance he imparts to the boys from years of experience and wisdom. The group recently performed live on the latest season of American Idol to rapturous applause and to the delight of fans all over the world.

The group will be heading down to Kuala Lumpur for the first time during their promotional showcase tour of Asia.
Universal Music Malaysia as the official music company that distributes their album has planned 3 days of activities filled with interviews with various local media in Malaysia and a casual tour of Kuala Lumpur. The tour culminates with a special showcase held in Bentley Music Auditorium, Mutiara Damansara
fitting for a group of their vocal prowess.

The group will be performing to an estimated 500 fans who will gather at the auditorium to experience their amazing performance, on the 30th of July 2011 at 5pm. To attend the show purchase Il Volo’s eponymous debut album from CD-RAMA outlets only and get a free pass to watch them! Fans can join an autograph session that will take place 2 hours prior to the show at 3.00 P.M at the Concourse Level of Ikano Power Centre, Mutiara Damansara.To join the autograph session, bring along your own copy of Il Volo’s eponymous debut album. The autograph session will be held on a first come, first serve basis for an hour only.
