Mayat bayi perempuan bertali pusat ditemui di kawasan surau

KUALA LUMPUR: Mayat bayi perempuan yang masih bertali pusat ditemukan di Surau Al-Hidayah Kampung Melayu, dekat Pekan Rawang, petang tadi.


Ketua Polis daerah Gombak, Asisten Komisioner Noor Ariffin Mohamad Nasir, penemuan mayat dalam keadaan lengkap berpakaian putih tertera perkataan 'Pureen' dan berbalut kain selimut itu dimaklumkan kepada pihaknya kira-kira jam 2.36 petang.


Beliau berkata, siasatan mendapati mayat bayi diletakkan di atas kerusi di ruangan makan surau sebelum ditemui seorang lelaki yang juga kariah di surau terbabit.


"emeriksaan lanjut tidak menemukan sebarang nota atau dokumen pengenalan diri bersama bayi berkenaan.


"Mayat dihantar ke Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) untuk proses bedah siasat yang akan dijalankan esok bagi mengenal pasti punca kematian," katanya dalam kenyataan, hari ini.


Menurut Noor Ariffin, semakan lanjut di lokasi mendapati surau terbabit tidak dilengkap dengan kemudahan kamera litar tertutup (CCTV).


Sehubungan itu, beliau meminta orang ramai yang melihat atau mempunyai maklumat berhubung kejadian ini untuk tampil membantu siasatan polis.


"Maklumat boleh disalurkan dengan menghubungi pegawai penyiasat jenayah, Inspektor Siti Khatijah Ibrahim di talian 010-9073483 atau Bilik Gerakan Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah Gombak di talian 03-61262222.


"Kes disiasat mengikut Seksyen 318 Kanun Keseksaan (menyembunyikan kelahiran)," katanya.
