Perbandinga software GPS.

Hi,

Saya baru satu beli GPS ni kat lelong dari sorang seller di lelong.... kat bawah ni ada link jika sapa2 berminat memiliki set yg sama mcm saya.

Boleh dikatakan best la jugak GPS nih, sbb kita bukan saja hanya memiliki software malah byk lagi function2 yang lain seperti permainan, pdf viewer, ebook, words viewer, excel viewer, calculator, media player, mp3player dan pelbagai lagik. Tapi rasanya sya tak add apa2 dah sbb dengan tambahan 2gb, mmg penuh software yg diisinya. Nasib baik processor nye agak kuat jadi tk pernah lagi gadget saya ni hang tak tentu pasal. Saya dah testing gps ni kat jalan2 di KL, Selangor.... so far mmg smooth dan puas hati. Dalam nye ada 8 jenis software navigation yg famous mcm Garmin, Mapking, Papago dan macam2 lain (malas nk test yg lain sbb suka giler ngan software Papago). Apepun bukan nk promote barang dia pun... cuma citer perbandingan software Garmin, Mapking dan Papago je.

Speed Alert (dia akan membebel kalau bwk lebih 60km/j kat jalan biasa)
Garmin - takder pun (maybe my setting)
Mapking - ader
Papago - ader (bleh set off)

Map Display
Mapking - hampeh dan tak berapa cantik
Garmin - ok dari Mapking cuma kalau landmark tu cuma letak simbol je.
Papago - ok dari Garmin, kalau bangunan/landmark ada simbol2 3D. Mmg menarik. Kendian akan pop up gambar jalan raya sebenar bila dah sampai simpang.

Navigation
Mapking - Berapa kali aku terlajak simpang - chit. Lambat detect position aku
Garmin - Tak le terlajak simpang, tapi bila terlajak lambat skit nak recalculate
Papago - Susah skit nk terlajak simpang sbb ada grafik popup gambar jalan raya sebenar. Bila disengajakan terlajak simpang ia cepat recalculate balik route.

Map update (ini aku amik nasihat promoter kat digital mall, PJ. tapi aku beli kat lelong je)
Garmin - promoter ckp bleh update dari internet dengan registration dan pelbagai
Mapking - promoter ckp bleh update dari internet tanpa registration
Papago - promoter ckp bleh update dari internet lebih mudah berbanding Mapking dan Garmin.

So itulah kajian tempatan yg saya telah uji selama seminggu ini. Selamat mencuba
So skrg ni aku pakai software Papago je walaupun ada software2 yang lain. Selamat mencuba

rasanya demi menjaga baik status seller tu baik sy tak ckp berapa harga yg saya dapat. Apa kata msg dia terus atau email terus utk deal terus ngan dia. Mana tau dia leh kasi murah.
  
Yg pastinya akak dpt murah skit dari rega quickgrab tu. Try la bid...

tak pernah guna yg lain... guna garmin ajer...

tapi mmg byk membantu masa aku drive kat s'pore...

tapi mcm hang cakap la.. POI mmg gagal sikit... dan ada ketikanya recalculating lembabsssss...

Beli je unit tu, tengokle software ape yg kita pakai. Kendian download map updated free. Pakai GPS tak kena bayar service... bayar rega unit tu je.

so far aku penah guna mapking (1st) dan skrg garmin. detail garmin aku suka tp overall aku prefer garmin.

nnt aku nk try papago plak la...

ok je setakat ni tade la sesat ke ape.. g penang first time pon bule pusing2 penang lagi..
cari restoran pon ok jer.

Akak pernah pakai kat henpn 3G akak. Too bad henpon akak takde GPS receiver. Jadi sistem tak dapat detect location akak accurately. Kalau tak pakai unlimited 3G service. Sure bill melambong!!

P/S: Try le papago, akak mmg suka sgt software papago. Tapi kat pasaran unit GPS Papago masih lagi mahal berbanding Garmin. Tak pun beli cap ayam je mcm akak taruk software clon Papago.

Kelebihan garmin, software nye bleh di install dlm henpon yg ada GPS service.

Software Papago / Mapking rasanya takde kot... (ataupun ada tapi akak tatau)

    kalo guna 3g unlimited, bil tak tinggi pun sbb bayar fixed amount, kan?

mmber aku guna nokia e72, digi unlimited data plan, garmin dia activate Assisted-GPS. YM on 24jam. bil tk penah cecah rm100 pun. nak suh dia try guna google maps ni gak tp dia taknak. katanya map download byk sgt (dia dgr kawan dia kata).

ada org lain ckp gak, ada cara nk download smua map google tu, stor dlm memory kad, tp tktau lak kaedahnye cemana nak bagi sync secara offline. nnt ade masa aku google. kot2 google maps ni lg best ke. tp bab map terbatas sebab nampak awan tebal, tu yg tak best

    tapi henpon punya tak se accurate GPS device, kira tak tepat.. dalam 95% gitu jer..

macam haku pakai, rujuk sebagai panduan jer.. sebab dier lembab, bergantung kepada GPRS speed mobile operator tu.. kena gi tempat takde coverage GPRS, lagi hancus..

setakat aku pakai ni ok lagi tepat jer bole kate 99%


yang masalahnye kalau tepon tade kedit nih dia lambat dapat online dengan setelit gps tuh.
dia panggil assisted gps.

tapi aku tak paham sket apsal tade kedit je jadi lembab.. kan ke bule emergency call?

Assisted GPS, generally abbreviated as A-GPS, is a system which can improve the startup performance of a GPS satellite-based positioning system. It is used extensively with GPS-capable cellular phones as its development was accelerated by the U.S. FCC's 911 mandate making the location of a cell phone available to emergency call dispatchers.[1]

GPS operation uses radio signals from satellites. In very poor signal conditions, for example in a city, these signals may suffer multipath where signals bounce confusingly off buildings, or be weakened by passing through walls or tree cover. When first turned on in these conditions, some non-assisted GPS navigation devices may not be able to work out a position due to the fragmentary signal, rendering them unable to function until a clear signal can be received continuously for up to 40 seconds (the time needed to download the GPS ephemeris).

An Assisted GPS system can address these problems by using data available from a network.

Assistance falls into two categories:

   1. Using information known to the assistance server but not the GPS receiver
          * It can supply orbital data or almanac for the GPS satellites to the GPS receiver, enabling the GPS receiver to lock to the satellites more rapidly in some cases.
          * The network can provide precise time.
          * The device captures a snapshot of the GPS signal, with approximate time, for the server to later process into a position.
          * Accurate, surveyed coordinates for the cell site towers allow better knowledge of local ionospheric conditions and other conditions affecting the GPS signal than the GPS receiver alone, enabling more precise calculation of position. (See also Wide Area Augmentation System and CellHunter.)
   2. Calculation of position by the server using information from the GPS receiver
          * The assistance server has a good satellite signal, and plentiful computation power, so it can compare fragmentary signals relayed to it by GPS receivers, with the satellite signal it receives directly, and then inform the GPS receiver or emergency services of the GPS receiver's position.

As an additional benefit, in some A-GPS device implementations, the amount of CPU and programming required for a GPS receiver is reduced by offloading most of the work onto the assistance server. For modern hardware this is not a major consideration but many 20th century GPS navigation devices used Intel 80386-class 16 MHz CPUs[citation needed] or similar hardware.

A typical A-GPS-enabled receiver will use a data connection (Internet or other) to contact the assistance server for A-GPS information. Some A-GPS devices cannot fall back to standard GPS, needing cell tower or internet signal as these A-GPS devices won't function with only GPS satellite signal.

Many mobile phones combine A-GPS and other location services including Wi-Fi Positioning System and cell-site triangulation in a hybrid positioning system.[2]

High Sensitivity GPS is an allied technology that addresses some of these issues in a way that does not require additional infrastructure. However, unlike some forms of A-GPS, high-sensitivity GPS cannot provide a fix instantaneously when the GPS receiver has been off for some time.

kalau ko off assisted gps ni pon jadi lemau la henpon nak detect signal gps.
henpon nih punye receiver tak power la tuh kot.
