FWD (Front Wheel Drive)
RWD (Rear Wheel Drive)
AWD (All Wheel Drive)

Mari kita bincangkan jenis-jenis kereta yang sesuai di Malaysia mengikut ciri2 'wheel drive'.

Contoh AWD (Toyota Rush )

Contoh RWD (Porsche 911)

Contoh FWD (Proton Putra)

Semuanya bergantung pada tujuan sebenar kenderaan itu nak digunakan....
Kalo kerja renjer nak masuk hutan hari2 takkan nak amik Proton Putra pulak...
So kesesuaiannya mengikut individu....

untuk kereta sedan aku prefer rear wheel drive, sbb tu aku tak beli keta jeporn sbb kebanyakan pakai fwd.

as for SUV aku prefer AWD atau fulltime 4wd, sbb selalunyer lebih bagus in term stability package dan traction management. cuma downsidenyer fc tinggi skit jer.

ini personal preference jelah, in the end mcm daned post la, kalo nak masuk hutan takkan nak pakai putra kot.

kalu kat malaysia, dan kete sedan pulak untuk tujuan harian (kegunaan biasa dan bukannya utk track, drift or drag) rasanya macam tak ada bezanya antara fw, rw atau awd.

kalu kat malaysia, dan kete sedan pulak untuk tujuan harian (kegunaan biasa dan bukannya utk track, drift or drag) rasanya macam tak ada bezanya antara fw, rw atau awd.

kereta fw selalu rosak drive shaft sbb componen ni sentiasa bergerak dan bekerja even semasa mengoner,,, kete rw jarang rosak drive shaft tetapi selalu problem kat joint coupling sbb power transmit terlalu panjang (long shaft)

cube tolak  troli mane lagi praktikal
tolak dari belakang,
or tarik dari depan,

fikir2kan lah,,,

pada aku, takda beza besar in term of safety, sbb kereta zaman moden ni akan banyak dicompensate ngan electronic assistant mcm ebd,abs, esp dan lain2 lagi.

tak salah aku dari segi teori, front wd drive ni adalah lebih jimat in term of production cost, fc dan saiz kereta jadi lebih compact.

kalo ko tengok kereta yg pakai front wheel drive ni, position engine dia adalah jenis transverse mounted engine. manakal kalo rear wheel drive akan pakai longitudinal mounted engine. membuatkan chasis keta agak panjang.

aku lagi prefer front wheel drive n FF layout .keta FF energy lagi efficient sbb tak perlu banyak shaft utk transfer power dari engine macam kereta FR atau F4...kereta macam nie nak maintain pun murah especially tayar  sbb boleh tukar silang ngan tayar belakang utk optimize penggunaan semua tayar...keta layout FF lagi senyap berbanding semua jenis layout dan floor dia lagi rata sbb tak perlu buat bonggol utk allocate shaft macam keta FR atau F4. handling wise, kereta FF jugak sbb kita ada full control steering n acceleration (semua located kat tayar depan)...the only weakness FF is probably the understeer tapi nowaday sbb dah ada ESP (electronic stability program) n its derivative - EBD, VSA etc - such understeer dah jadi minor problem..

from prespektif automaker..kereta FF lagi murah nak buat berbanding kereta-kereta lain..

dari segi handling, track contohnyer, FF lagi best utk haku..

haku dulu pernah tanya sowang kawan haku, dier kata dier suka RWD, tapi haram tak pernah bawak kete yg RWD, aper ntah lagi buat drift, dier suka hanya sebab Initial D punya pasal.. ampeh punya statement..  ader tak antara yg sama spisis??

la ni ada kete sedan FWD, RWD and AWD. Semua aku suka, tapi yg paling best bawak AWD with sport shift transmission and intercooler turbo charged

kalu bawak RWD...koner kuat sikit ESP sudah menyala, pas tu kuar warning `You are nearly accident'. kalu bawak FWD tatak ESP bagai ni (depend on model), kena rasa kat steering. AWD ada ASD, ASC bagai tapi tak payah nak kuar warning, so sedap bawak ganaz2
