Between Professionalism and Personal Values

Nak tanya forumer yg bijak pandai di sini, how do you divide professionalism and personal values during working hours? Sebagai contoh, boss anda memang mempunyai sikap dan attitude yg boleh di katakan tahap setan, tetapi sesudah working hours, dier sangatlah baik mengalahkan malaikat. Can you accept this dual characterism in your work place?
Kebanyakan staff akan kata, boss aku dekat opis mcm sial, tetapi di luar waktu pejabat baik nak mampos...what do u think of this? can u accept this? sebagai seorang boss, boleh ke anda bermuka-muka mcm ni? They say, you need to be professional with everybody during work hours, but can u separate professionalism and personal values? |

well honestly, some bosses do act like that cos their staff might be the ones who can be easily lulled by the boss's kindness and not do their jobs at their best level.
jujurnye, elok ade detachment kat opis. jgn rapat sgt.
biasalah melayu.. kalau baik sgt ngan boss, cepat je nanti nak kipas... or org lain yg akan label, "kaki kipas bos".
so, to me, i would rather have a boss who can separate their personal values in the office so that the staff would have different level of respect rather than respect from being 'friends' gituk. |

true enough...but bosses find a hard time to keep out professional values during laid back times...for example, let say after office hours, you go out with your boss for a teh tarik session, but as a staff, you still see him as the boss...and you need to control what you say when you are with him... |

Mmmm...memang ada org camnie..katanya time kerja dan luar waktu kerja tak boleh dicampur adukkan...different character lak tu...kita jer yg tak boleh tahan perangai boss camnie...kat opis dia baling report ko kat lantai pastu waktu balik kerja kang dia ajak ko pi minum sama2...
Satu jer ko boleh test perangai boss camnie...nak tengok dia concern sebenarnya ker tak kat staff dia...time waktu kerja,ko kena demam/tak sihat pastu ko mintak tolong dia hantarkan ko ke klinik...kalo dia hantar maknanya dia profesionalism ler..kalo tak memang dia jenis yg bermuka2...

pada padangan aku, sekiranya anda seorang boss...susah nak adakan dual character ni, mcm berlakon pun ada...boss nak baik dgn staff, nanti staff pijak kepala...kalau staff nak baik dgn boss, nanti kata staff ampu boss, bodek boss... |

mmg susah ade dual character.
best way is, kat opis n luar.. ko leh 'rapat' or ajak minum kat luar.. tp jgn overturned 180 degree gituk.
dulu2... advisor aku (merangkap boss kecik aka immediate boss aku)... suka je ajak minum2... tapi ngan team-mate kitorg je lah kan...
ok gak la.. nak kata dia bermuka sgt tak jugak... garang masih garang.. tp tulah, bila minum dia laid-back sket.
n time minum la selalu dia dispose nasihat2 dia esp cara carik duit xtra.. jrg2 je ckp hal opis.
kitorg time opis... antara group kitorg jelah... kira mcm dah di'ajar', kalau x puas hati dgn apa dia cakap, kita leh voice it out n reason why we r not agreeable w her.
n kebetulan anak2 buah dia ni mmg perangai set2, cakap bila x puas hati... so, agak masuk la kepala boss n anak2 buah. kesian kat mamat sorg tu jelah.. sbb dia ni lembut hati sket n dia x suka confrontation. walhal kitorg dah kata dah, u dont have to be on argumentative mode, just say what's on ur mind.
so, sampaila keje skrg, masih buat yg sama.
cuma boss skrg, xpenah la pulak nk beramas-mesra kat luar nunn. |

my bos sekarang ni perangai dia kitaorg tak leh terima dek akal.kalau dia nak meroyan.dia kan meroyan sampai maki hamun.Tapi bila dia nk minta tolong kita dia punyerlah baik mcm malaikat..but still kitaorg tak leh terima sikap dia.For us dia mcm bermuka-muka..dia amat suka marah2 staff depan org luar..professional ke? |

kene tgk jgk dual character tu camne....perangai mcm setan kat opis? aku rasa dlm ape jua keadaan pon....bos or anyone else...kene maintain behavior n attitude...sbb bende2 tu sume bkn sekadar physical appearance aje tp menunjukkan mentality kita skali....kalo dh kat opis gile babeng maki org lempar report kat lantai....marah org x tentu pasal.....pastu kat luar baik nk mampos......bg aku tu bkn detachment tp bermuka2......
bos mmg kene ade gap dgn staff...tp bkn itu caranya.....gap tu bermaksud u xleh la nk mesra2 ngn staff sampai blh gelak2 n sembang mcm kwn2 sgt during opis hour....kene tegas n act like bosses......sbb nkkan staff respect n value kita as a boss....kalo terlalu bg muka....nnt staff x respect n blh buat ape saje dpn muka u....tp dlm masa yg sama...personal value u kene maintain....kalo u tegur org baik2...x malukan org dpn2....staff akan lg respect tau......kalo bengis mcm singa mmg la org kecut dpn ko...tp belakang?
bila dh luar opis....at least x berbeza sgt perangai kan kalo u gelak2 ngn staff? so bg aku....character yg terlalu bertentangan mmg x blh diterima akal sgt la.....actually dual character tu bkn menunjukkan ko boss pon...tp menunjukkan seorg yg x pandai nk control emotion n x layak jd boss pon...asyik nk temper je...ape barang..... |
