Renault R29 - revised diffuser design



Introduced only on Fernando Alonso's car in China, Nelson Piquet alsohas Renault's revised aero package in Bahrain, with new bodywork and adouble-decker diffuser. As you can see from the drawing, the diffuser'scentral channel is very wide, with the second upper deck channellingairflow from an opening in front of the rear axle, where the referenceand step planes meet.


hebat betul ... renault ni..... ada aje benda yang baru di tingkatkan. Mudah mencari penyelesaian apabila berdepan dengan masalah

maknanya musim depan ada 2 choice utk team yang akan bertanding

1 - pilih budget cap dan enjoy teknikal freedom yang lebih banyak untuk develop team

atau

2 - pilih untuk maintain unlimited budget dan akan dikenakan specific technical specification utk
     semua mende kat keta

ini yang derang panggil two tier system maknanya macam dah wujud 2 spec utk f1, contohnya kira macam gt jepun la, satu pakai 500 cc enjin satu lagi 300 cc enjin

dan terang-terang menampakkan yang team yang akan buat pilihan 1 akan mendahului sesapa yang ambik pilihan 2 sebab dlm f1, seinci beza kat front wing pun boleh membuatkan keta tu mendapatkan kestabilan yang lebih baik berbanding team lain kan

jadi ni la sebab semua constructor menentang sistem budget cap fia tu

basicly tujuan f1 sekarang adalah untuk membuat penyelidikan berguna dlm teknologi kereta yang boleh di gunapakai untuk kereta komersial

jadi kalu setakat budget 40mil, nak develop amendenya

FIA Decision To Allow Double Diffusers Causing Passing Problems

F1's new-look cars of 2009 are travelling more closely together, but it seems they are no easier than before to overtake with.

After the British grand prix, it was the double diffuser in the spotlight for spoiling the efforts of the Technical Working Group to radically amend this year's cars for the benefit of the spectacle.

"Just as was planned by the FIA, the cars did produce less downforce," said Ferrari's Felipe Massa.

"But with the decision to allow the double diffusers, this plan was turned upside down," the Brazilian told Auto Motor und Sport.

Toyota's Timo Glock adds that even the moveable front flaps this year are not providing a benefit to aid overtaking.

"When you're in the turbulence of the cars ahead, all your grip is lost. You're sliding on all four wheels," the German said.

FIA KERS Push A Failure

Stefano Domenicali has blamed development money wasted on KERS as the reason for its competitive struggle in 2009.

Other big teams, including McLaren, have also blamed their current struggles on having focused for too long on the 2008 title, rather than on the sweeping new rules for this season.

But Ferrari boss Domenicali said crucial funds amounting to "millions of euros" was thrown out the window on expensive KERS technology that he now believes was a "flop" for the sport.

"A lot of money was spent without the desired effect. Let me put it this way: if it had been spent instead on the car, Ferrari would now be just as fast as this Red Bull," he insisted after the British grand prix.

At Silverstone, Ferrari's Maranello built cars were the only ones featuring the controversial energy re-use technology, after McLaren, BMW and Renault recently abandoned the approach.

Asked if KERS was a failure for F1, Domenicali answered: "That is something easily said, but it is true.

"For passenger cars, KERS is the future, but in formula one we are in a different environment. For us there are too many compromises: ultimately, it is all about the speed of our cars."

aku actually dah lama perasan kelemahan doube diffuser ni.Sebab bila pesaing di belakang mcm susah nak overtake kecuali dgn strategi yg baik dari driver dgn bos kat pit stop

pasal tu kot button asyik menang pasal susah sgt nak overtake {:3_81:}

harapnya derang akan refer spec dulu yang lebih kompetitif, dgn banyak manufacturer yang akan join series baru ni, masalah enjin kurang kompetitif takkan timbul la kecoli kalu tim tu sendiri yang tak buat enjin kompetitif

kira series baru macam start balik la development enjin
