David Guetta (born November 7, 1967 in Paris) is a French DJ. Guetta began mixing his first vinyls at home at age 13, and organized parties in his basement at 15. [1]. At 17, he worked as a DJ at 'Broad' in Paris, launching his career. From 1988 to 1990, he mixed house music at Radio Nova. In 2005, his single "The World Is Mine", which contains a sample of Simple Minds "Someone Somewhere In Summertime", topped European dance charts. He appeared in an advertisement for L'Or閍l hair cream. Vocals on many of his singles are performed by singer Chris Willis. On 13 August 2005, he performed in the Creamfields Spanish festival, with such artists as The Chemical Brothers and Carl Cox. He has also performed at Creamfields UK, again alongside The Chemical Brothers, Carl Cox and other big name DJs.
