Just like a Japanese couple....the wife walks 10 feet behind the hubby! The hubby wouldn't even know whether the tiger had run off with the wife!

I'm still learning to be less forgiving, while to forgive is divine <who ever coins this phrase> sometimes I just wish that I can ' punished them' for making me feel so dejected

some people says that I'm too forgiving towards others , and that is why, sometimes it seems like I'm just like asking to be wronged by people in my live

Dear Dutchy.

So what happens when you don't forgive people? Do you confront them and tell tell them what an xxx they 'd been .....?

I always feel that forgiving is a very personal thing....it's the way we deal with personal anger or hurt when wronged. I don't suppose we tell people whenever we forgive them....I certainly wouldn't. But I suppose there is no harm in telling someone that he/she has hurt you and seek an explanation or a resolution so that it won't happen again.

But dutchy, forgiving is more about us, for us, rather than others...

Sometime we let others take advantage of us for another reason. Our own guilt, shame, disapproval of ourselves and low self esteem. Usually anyway.

You like to do good to others. That's great. But, do good to yourself. It's the same.
