Celebrities earn millions for magazines' baby cover shots

Christina Aguilera reportedly netted $2 million from People magazine for their cover of the pop star with her newborn, Max.

People paid over $4 million to charity to nab an exclusive cover of Brangelina and baby Shiloh.

No baby yet for pregnant Jamie Lynn Spears - but she earned $1 million for appearing on the cover of OK!
Christina Aguilera has every reason to be smirking on this week's People magazine cover. Reports say she scored as much as $2 million for the exclusive shot with new baby boy Max.

With profits like that, who needs hit records or blockbuster films? Hollywood moms and dads know where the real money's at - their nurseries.

Little Max is just the latest celebuspawn to pull in a fortune just by being born. And Nicole Richie and Joel Madden's newborn shouldn't be far behind. People placed a winning bid of $1 million on their daughter Harlow, according to Gawker.com.

Jossip.com says Aguilera's infant sold for double that. Don't expect the famous and fertile to slash prices any time soon. Their pint-size products will always be in high demand.

"Everyone is curious to see," says Roxanne Motamedi, executive director of entertainment at Getty Images, the agency that photographed baby Max. "The bigger the celebrity, the more people want to know what the baby looks like. It sells magazines."

Aguilera wore a revealing low-cut dress as she made her first TV chat show appearance just a month after giving birth to son Max Liron Bratman.

And he was left blushing - and then laughing hysterically - as host Ellen DeGeneres highlighted how certain physical attributes were clearly still swollen. 揧ou look great, Ellen told her, quickly adding: 揙ne question: Are you nursing?

[table=98%][tr][td]Christina Aguilera confirmed reports that she had some outlandish decorations when her new baby Max Liron Bratman had his Bris ceremony, during an appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."

A Bris is a Jewish ritual, traditionally held on the eighth day of a son's life, when he is circumcised. Aguilera said she and her husband, Jordan Bratman, did their best to make the occasion celebratory.

"We are not a very conservative couple and I definitely like to have fun with things and be festive and really go all out," she explained to host Ellen DeGeneres in an interview which airs on Wednesday.

So what did the couple do to mark the occasion which welcomed their son into the Jewish faith?

"Little Max, poor little guy, he was a trooper, and for decorations we put up penis balloons all over the place
