what can we do? even against cambodia, there's no guarantee that we'll win. 30 years ago, we'll have 50-50 chance of winning a match against south korea. against japan, we'll have 75% chance. heck, we even had a chance of winning playing against england B squad and did defeat arsenal 2-0 in the 70s. those are the best decade in malaysian football history that featured such players as Allahyarham Mokhtar Dahari, Soh Chin Aun, Santokh Sing and Arumugam.
in 80s, we're still good and still a threat to well known teams such as south korea, saudi arabia, iraq, iran and japan. after that, we're just good. later, the word 'good' doesn't even fit the team. FAM management needs a complete overhaul, just like what BAM did to badminton. otherwise, with the same people in charge, we won't go anywhere soon. forget about asia cup, or even world cup and olympic medal, we can't even dominate small teams in south east asia (like myanmar, laos, and cambodia). no wonder no team wants to play against malaysia, not even in friendly match. if they had their way, they probably play their Z squad to play against malaysia in any tournament. no pun intended against cambodia, but we should be ashamed of this situation. it's not that we don't support the squad, but it's very painful to keep watching our squad play the game the way they play; one step forward, five steps back.

Saya harap malaysia sekurang-kurangnya adalah draw satu atau dua game dan janganlah bolos banyak sangat kalau kita kalah 2-1,3-2 pun dah kira oklah tu.Tapi kalau mara ke quater final memang mengejutkan sebab skuad tahun 1980 dan satu lagi saya tak pasti hanya sampai peringkat kumpulan je.Kenapa Fam tak buat perlawanan persahabatan yang betul2 berkualiti.mereka macam tak serius,tengok thailand kalahkan china 1-0 dan buat friendly dengan Holland.Indonesia pun boleh kalahkan Hong Kong 3-0,kalau malaysia susah nak agak boleh menang ke tak.Kalau boleh cuba malaysia buat friendly dengan San marino,uji skuad ni kalau tak menang jugak tak tau nak kata apa lagi. |

not that FAM didn't plan for quality friendly matches but, if i'm not mistaken, their request were declined without reason by teams.

Yes they looks down to the malaysia teams so they declined our request.That just one way to make our teams get the quality match,is to increase our ranking.Now the latest ranking for malysia is 149 before 156,im also really shock and weird because around may all the malysia friendly if im not mistaken against Australia Club and we lost all of them but this is first step and i hope on july our ranking will increase and at least be the top 130.Next week our friendly against Cambodia and UAE I hope we can win over Cambodia with many gol and at least draw with UAE.But i think Fam should make another 3 or 4 friendly match before Asian Cup,I think Chinese Taipe(Taiwan) also good.But is all the team not intrested doing friendly with us how about we play against Super league leader Perak or Kedah,they also a good team. |

during 90's, malaysia ada gak propose to FIFA untuk jd penganjur World Cup.. tapi FIFA cakap World Cup is too big for malaysia to organise so instead FIFA bg peluang mesia anjur Youth World Cup ajerr..爏bb爐ue爐aun |
