JK? Digest no 41 of November, 06 [326 of 2006] The doomed earth- the writing on the sky

CARE or not?  Stale Governments take special note.

Today's Daily Express Sunlife in Sabah had this strange headline - Attack of the drones - with the message Scientists building swarms of robots that mimic the behaviour of swarms in nature. That could be the future of warfare, space explorations, fire fighting and even cancer therapy. "How the herd mentality works" - page 2, "Swarms in nature" - page 3, "What can robot swarm do" - page 4.

In the Daily Express proper there is this keynote article on Sunday - "Deforest the Amazon - destroy the world" by Peter Bunyard (thank God not Peter BuRnyard).

Would the same herd mentality in the proposed robotic drones complete the destruction of the human race in great regional disparity? Would there be a doomed super-race mentality (of Hitler) now revived again in a different forum?

Wasn't it the swarm mentality of greedy Governments (Governments' Rampant Exploitation, Excesses, and Destruction-GREED) that have destroyed the rainforests to meet the senseless 'exorbitant' demands of consumers in the rich countries within a 50 years period?

I believe Amazon is already destroyed and Sabah is no different.

It was the swarm (herd) mentality of greedy loggers aided by the chainsaws to rape the rainforests within 30 years in Sabah and elsewhere. The greedy Governments preside over the rape with impunity. Where has all those wealth gone? Yet such people still want to rule over their own destructions in every sense of that word.

Now this swarm mentality in Sabah into the monocrop of oil palms as extended in Borneo and the region is doing further damage on the surface of the earth. While the attacks of the drone, Sabah once the land below the wind would see total destruction when the hurricane strike as global climatic change as the key reason for this happening. Then we are living within a new hell in a desert -sad. The lull in this case is the haze before a massive tyhoon already many of that in the nearby Philippines. We are already experiencing many lethal lightning strikes (power cuts as a result) unheard of before as we have lost the natural protection from rainforests.

So what the scientists are trying to do may be too late and too little (wrong approach without God) to resolve the crisis on defaced earth and its inhabitants already loaded with massive doses of dilemma of all dimensions mostly unheard of before.

The latest swarm mentality is to spend money and public funds on wasteful things like excessive advertisement on news prints. There is this case of the National Service placing advertisements of the names of participant in the 2007 national season. In the Borneo Post, there were double publication of 20 pages each of same list of names for the English and Bahasa Malaysia version. Apart from the wasted fund (could be used to give better rations to the participants), I think the resources of paper and ink used mean that more trees would be cut to expedite the demise of the doomed earth (also carbonating) quicker if this is repeated. Say if 10,000 copies were printed, then 100,000 pages are irrelevant. How much would that void effort cost? Other dailies are also do the same in Malaysia Boleh to destroy more of the little rainforests left.

Can we forgive ourselves and learn quickly to revive the earth the only habitat given by God?
