THE BEGINNING

  THE STORY : -
Yu Jianing, Shi Dafei and Zheng Yucheng have known each other since they were young. They grew up together, and had once made a common wish to be successful in life in the future. However, the three of them end up walking a different path when they grow up. Good friends become enemies and lovers are torn apart. It is the hand of fate toying with them indeed!
Jianing was born into a small, happy family. However, her father abandons Jianing and her mother to marry a rich woman instead. Thereafter, Jianing? mother dies from cancer. Her father shows no concern at all regarding this. During an argument, Jianing injures her father who reports the incident to police and causes her to go to jail. This deepens Jianing? hatred, which spills over to include her stepsister Yu Tingli.
Tingli is a doctor. She is pretty and kindhearted. However, due to a strict upbringing from her mother, Tingli has developed a secretly rebellious nature. After she gets to know Yucheng, Jianing and Dafei, she experiences a new side of life which she has never felt before. She also begins to fall for the hearty and positive Yucheng.
After Yucheng? graduation, he joins Huakang Corporation as an employee. Yucheng performs well in the company and gets promoted time and again. The CEO of Huakang, Zheng Tian, reveals to Yucheng one day that he is in fact his biological son. Yucheng is stunned. He verifies this with his mother, who tells him that she did have a relationship with Zheng Tian and he is indeed Yucheng? birth father...
Dafei? father earns a living by dishonest means. He and his father have relied on each other since he was young, depending on illegal gambling to earn their keep. Dafei and Jianing are always squabbling with each other yet manage to maintain a true friendship between them. One day, an accident reveals their true feelings for each other. Yucheng, who has secretly been in love with Jianing, also realises that he will never win her affections.
On the other hand, Zheng Tian? youngest son, Vincent is a typical spoilt brat. Vincent killed Jianing? little sister in a moment of folly. Dafei is an eyewitness to the incident.
Eventually, Vincent is not convicted and released but views Dafei as his enemy from then onwards.Jianing offends her father? wife and comes to harm under her vicious plotting. She almost drowns but is rescued by Dafei in the nick of time. The couple decides to move to the country and live a simple life.
However, their peace and happiness is disrupted when Vincent is found murdered. Dafei is accused of killing Vincent. In fact, the real murderer is Tingli, who has had enough of Vincent? persistent hounding for her attention. So she accidentally killed Vincent. Yucheng pushes the blame on Dafei so as to save Tingli. Dafei is sentenced to a jail term. Thus, Jianing also begins her plan for revenge...

CHARACTER
SHI JIA NING
Meet Jia Ning, a strong and independent girl with a happy family. That is, until her father Dong Qing left Jianing and her mother ? then pregnant with another daughter ? for another woman. To add insult to the injury, Jia Ning? mother dies after giving birth to her second daughter, Jia Min. The sisters grew up alone, with Jia Ning forced to give up school to make ends meet. Unlike her older sibling, Jia Min becomes rebellious and gets involved with the wrong crowd.
A twist of fate ensues as Jia Ning befriends Ting Li, without knowing that Ting Li is her half sister from Dong Qing? second marriage. They then fall into a love triangle and get entangled in a web of deceit, betrayal and revenge
TIE TOU
Gambling extraordinaire Tie Tou constantly pursues instant cash, refusing to seek a stable job. He and Jia Ning become lovers and she risks everything for him each time he gets into trouble. A series of tragic events happen soon after Jia Ning discovers that Ting Li is her half sister.
As Jia Ning obsessively plans an ultimate revenge, Tie Tou feels alienated from her and seeks comfort in friendship with Ting Li, which results in an ambiguous relationship. Will Tie Tou find happiness and companionship with her or will he feel torn between the two girls?
FANG YU CHENG
The object of Ting Li? love and affection, intelligent and ambitious Yu Cheng has been adoring Jia Ning since an early age ? refusing to look another way. He feels devastated seeing Jia Ning and Tie Tou? happy relationship and finally gives Ting Li a chance. Upon graduation, Yu Cheng joins Hua Kang Enterprise and is well-liked by the CEO, Hua Kang. Because of this, he gets continuously harassed by Hua Kang? sons, Zhi Rong, Zhi Yang and Jay.
Soon, Yu Cheng discovers the reason behind Hua Kang? unconditional kindness: Hua Kang caused his father? death and is trying to make up for the loss. Devastated and frustrated, Yu Cheng accidentally commits murder and spirals down a path of no return?
SHI TING LI
Then there is Ting Li, pretty and ladylike from a higher social class. She falls head over heels in love with Yu Cheng, who does not return her feelings. Ting Li? mother, Marilyn, insists that her daughter goes out with people of equal social standing and introduces Ting Li to Jay. They become friends, but Ting Li discovers that Jay is suffering from a severe psychological disorder and avoids him completely.
This turns into a suicidal nightmare for her when Jay? erratic behavior causes much harm to Ting Li and her friends. Unexpectedly, Yu Cheng appears by her side and their relationship is elevated ? that is, until he starts plotting revenge and turns into a monster. Will Ting Li? world collapse before her eyes or will a saviour come to save the day?

SINOPSIS THE BEGINNING
Monday, 16 0ctober | Episode 01
Jia Ning, Tie Tou and Yu Cheng are inseparable best friends. Jia Ning lives alone with her sister, Jia Min, and works as a hardworking fishmonger to make ends meet. Ting Li? mother ? Marilyn ? is bold and aggressive, making everyone around her uneasy, including her own daughter and husband, Dong Qing. Rich and spoilt Jay returns home from overseas and his father, Hua Kang, teaches him a lesson on humility.
Dong Qing, who also happens to be Jia Ning and Jia Min? birth father, visits the wet market. As Jia Ning sees DongQing, memories of Dong Qing abandoning her family right before her mother died flashes through her mind. Jia Ning and Yu Cheng work as servers at the Fang family party and bumps into Dong Qing again. An argument ensues and Dong Qing realizes Jia Ning? identity.
Tuesday, 17 0ctober | Episode 02
The argument continues with Marilyn and Jia Ning leaves the party with clueless and confused Yu Cheng. Jia Ning discovers that Jia Min is getting involved with the wrong crowd and confides in Tie Tou. Because of his quick temper, Tie Tou loses job as a mechanic and his father ? Da Fei ? persuades him to get a stable job. Jay goes on a dinner date with Ting Li and makes a bad impression. They also start drinking and when things go overboard, Jay takes takes advantage of her?
Wednesday, 18 0ctober | Episode 03
Yu Cheng turns up, hits Jay and takes Ting Li away. Jay lodges a police report that Yu Cheng attacked him. Upon Yu Cheng? investigation, Jia Ning seeks for Ting Li? help, and sees Dong Qing ? who is surprised that both girls are friends.
With Ting Li as an actual witness, Yu Cheng is freed and Jay apologizes. His words get ignored by the rest.
Jay abuses the company funds, and this is discovered by his brothers, Zhi Rong and Zhi Yang. Zhi Yang wants him to take responsibility, while Zhi Rong defends Jay and gives him a second chance. Jia Ning finds out that Jia Min is still going out with the group of gangsters. Tie Tou confronts the gangster and has a huge fight with him...
Thursday, 19 0ctober | Episode 04
Tie Tou gives Jia Min a piece of his mind and she soon learns the truth about their background. Despite her work, Jia Ning decides to take the SPM examination, with Yu Cheng as a tutor. His mother, Yue Gui, suspects that Yu Cheng is in love with Jia Ning and encourages him. In Hua Kang Corporation, Zhi Rong commends Jay? performance and recommends a raise for him. Wanting to celebrate, Jay meets Ting Li and confesses his feelings to her.
Ting Li discovers later that Yu Cheng is upset and brings him to a theme park, teaching him to forget his worries. With renewed courage, Yu Cheng finally tells Jia Ning that he is and has been in love with her all this while.
Friday, 20 0ctober | Episode 05
Deeply shocked, Jia Ning takes Yu Cheng? words as a joke. He continues to help Jia Ning with her business selling fish, trying to act naturally and conceal his true feelings. Again Tie Tou gets in trouble in gambling and Da Fei further pushes him to begin his own business. Tie Tou opens a food stall and is highly successful.
Jia Ning plays a big part in maintaining Tie Tou's business, while Tie Tou secretly resumes his gambling habits. Jia Ning discovers this and they argue.Ting Li visits Tie Tou, and Jia Ning then discover the shocking truth that Ting Li is Dong Qing and Marilyn's daughter... |
