setuju..aku suka tengok trailer dia..sama gak dgn cerita jgn pandang belakang..cuma chermin ni cerita dia boleh diteka dan mungkin takde elemen suspens macam cerita hantu thailand..

"Chermin" To Participate in International Film Festivals

Ummi: We are in the process of submitting (to international film festivals), but we wanted to show it to the Malaysian public first.

16 Mar - "Chermin" will be submitted to the international film festivals, including Cannes. Ummi Khaltoum Abdullah, producer of the film, said this during the premiere and press conference at GSC 1 Utama in Damansara yesterday. Ummi said that they are planning to get the movie into international film festivals, including Cannes.

"We are in the process of submitting (to international film festivals), but we want to show it to the Malaysian public first," she added.

At the premiere, the excitement among the crew and cast of "Chermin" was obvious.

"I was shocked to see myself in the movie, as it had been quite some time since I saw myself in one. When the movie ended, I was stuck to the chair. Both Zarina (the director) and I were going, 憌ow, this is OUR film,'" said Deanna Yusoff, who played the evil spirit in the mirror.

First time director Zarina Abdullah and Ummi hoped that the public will appreciate the movie and their efforts in its production.

"It is hard for me to predict what the audience wants. I would have made lots of money if I could," Zarina said, adding that they had put a lot of effort into the visuals and effects to create a movie of quality.

When asked how she managed the look in the film, Deanna said she did those according to how she felt as Mastura (her character).

"The look came from inside... the sadness and bitterness (came) from the love (that Mastura's) husband could not give me," she added.

Newcomer Natasha Hudson, Farid Kamil, Khatijah Tan and Harith Iskandar were also at the premiere.
