Hilton, Richie reunite for 'Simple Life'

Paris Hilton and
Nicole Richie are reunited. And the producer of "The Simple Life" says it feels so good. After a yearlong public feud that nearly killed the reality show that made them famous, Hilton and Richie have agreed to film a fifth chapter of "The Simple Life" together, executive producer Jon Murray told The Associated Press.

"The thing the viewers love is the two girls together," he said. "America, Paris and Nicole are going to camp."

The 25-year-old celebutantes will be camp counselors in the newest "Simple Life" adventure, which is set to begin production next month, Murray said. The show will air on E! next spring, he said.

The show will delve into "what led to the breakdown in the friendship and maybe some of the misunderstandings and things that got in the way," he said.

At the height of their feud during the last "Simple Life" outing, Hilton and Richie filmed their parts separately. Murray was going to put the two on a "deserted island with a bunch of survivalists" for the next season when they agreed to appear side-by-side in the show.

"They reached out to each other in universal disdain for the island concept," he said, "and rekindled their friendship."

The two went public with their seemingly reconciled relationship Sunday, arriving together at Dan Tana's Steakhouse in Los Angeles. After dinner, they text-messaged while waiting for their car on a bench in front of the restaurant. At one point, they looked at each other and smiled when an unseen observer said, "I always knew you'd be friends again, Paris."

As you may have heard by now, Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie signed a cease fire treaty on Sunday night at a steak house (old boy steez, naturally). Apparently, this was enough to seal the deal for Nicole, as she spent the night at Paris' playing Girl Talk and Ouija Board. Elliot Mintz, thrilled I assume that he has to resume watching Richie's tragic ass trail two steps behind Miss Paris has this to say of the reunion:

Richie's rep could not be reached for comment, but Hilton's publicist, Elliot Mintz, tells PEOPLE: "They had a meal last night. It's not my place to say what was discussed or the nature of the meal. But it's a good thing when people have a meal together."

When asked if they're best friends again, Mintz said: "I wouldn't characterize it that way because I don't know if it was a business or personal discussion. Let's just watch it unfold."

Way to imply that P 'n' N are only back together for The Simple Life with that 'business discussion' talk, Mintzy.

Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton were spotted at the cemetery the other day visiting a friend抯 grave. Today we found out through Nicole抯 myspace blog that it抯 the 1 year anniversary of the death of a dear friend. The blog reads:

Today Is the one year anniversary of the death of a dear friend of mine. Brent Shapiro was a saint. I often thought he was too perfect to even be on this earth. Brent was the 25 year old son of renowned defense attorney Robert Shapiro(OJ扴 Lawyer) who died from a drug overdose. Robert Shapiro has created the Brent Shapiro Foundation for drug awareness. Paris and Nicole Make Things Simple Again

Nicole celebrated the environment early last night, but still had time to change her outfit and meet up with her on-again friend Paris on the dance floor at the Playstation party. I am simply amazed that these two were able to not be friends for so long. It's good to see that Paris is continuing to be such a good friend by making sure her BFF parties hard rather than works on gaining weight.
