Microsoft offers a few methods for the migration of Exchange data to Office 365. The selection of Exchange to Office 365 migration method depends on the organization’s Exchange environment, number of mailboxes, availability of resources and the time period in which migration process needs to be completed. There are four methods to migrate EDB to Office 365:
Cutover migration
Staged migration
Migration using a hybrid configuration

Here is the glimpse of the cutover migration process’s steps in brief:

STEP 1: Prepare servers and create empty security groups (mail-enabled) in Office 365.
STEP 2: Verify your on-premises domain with your Office 365 account to ensure that you own the domain.
STEP 3: Establish connection between the Office 365 account and the existing email system.
STEP 4: Create a migration batch to export EDB files in single migration cycle.
STEP 5: Initiate the cutover migration process and then route your emails on Office 365.
STEP 6: After routing the emails on office 365, delete the cutover migration batch.
STEP 7: Assign license to Office 365 users for the exported accounts.

Follow below given steps to migrate PST files to Office 365 through network upload method:

STEP 1: Install Azure AzCopy tool by Microsoft.
STEP 2: Copy the Shared Access Signature URL (SAS URL).
STEP 3: Import PST files in Azure location in cloud using AzCopy.exe.
STEP 4: Use Microsoft Azure Storage Explorer to view the list of uploaded PST files.
STEP 5: Create CSV file defining the PST mailboxes to be exported.
STEP 6: Create an import job in Office 365 and import PST files using CSV files.

I hope this information is helpful!

Transfer Exchange Database to Office 365 Manually

Users can import the data manually from Exchange mailbox to Office 365 mailbox via Outlook data file. Follow the systematic steps to execute the same. You can learn more about Microsoft 365 migration

Move data from EDB to Office 365 via PST Format

Step 1: Open the Exchange Power shell on your machine to importing EDB to Office 365 manually.
In this export process, the first step is to run the Add-PSSnapin command. This command is used to assemble all the add-ins of Exchange in the Windows PowerShell.

Step 2: If you want to export the entire mailbox content to the Outlook file format, then you can use the following command to export it.
In this, the mailbox from which the data is to be exported is named Aria and the shared folder in which the output file will be saved is PSTShare. The name of the resultant file can be selected by the user. In this case, named it aria.pst.

Once executed successfully, the entire data will be exported to the aria.pst file.
The yellow script, which you can see in the next image, means that the command has been generated successfully.
You can see the resultant aria.pst file

Step 3: You can create an archive file by the following command to import EDB to Office 365.
In this, the file is named aria_archive.pst.

Step 4: As illustrated before, the ContentFilter command can be used for selective exporting of Exchange data during the process to migrate EDB to Office 365.
For example, if you want to export the Exchange messages, which contain terms test and data in them, you can export them by using this command. Here the output file is named aria_filter.pst.

Step 5: The next command which you can use to exclude the Sent Items folder from being exported to the intermediate file, is ExcludeFolder.
